Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (a)

However painful that was it's ridiculous to call for him to be sacked. If RC really did sack him, I'd be calling for a new owner.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

I think Lane is suffering from low confidence at the moment - maybe he needs a bit of motivational booing? But seriously, I think there is a good player in there but at the moment he's not playing well and his decision making is poor ... but I live in hope. He was definitely rated at Pompey.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

“Turgid” is the word that comes to mind watching this team. It really feels like we are being turned into a yo-yo northern club, à la Rotherham, bouncing between League One and the Championship while playing boring, attritional football. Personally, I would rather see us play attractive football an...

Pepe the Horseman
Brogue Ward looks the business

Yep, when we signed him I said he sounded like a quick Tylor Bindon. Nice to see he looks like one too.

Yeah quick and good on the ball. We need that at the back.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

I thought we played alright. Defended very well till we gifted them a goal. That really knocked the wind out of our sails. Showed good character to win it from there. Given how useless we've been away from home for so many seasons I'll take that.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

Absolute disgrace. Lost again against another cr@p team with a diabolically awful home record. All praise AFC Charity, nice to know you’re alive and well. Now just **** off. Only positive I can find is that Wimbledon are now Reading’s bogey team. 6 league games and a whopping 3 points from the soli...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

Three issues (at least): Our CBs are very poor on the ball - hence when a team plays the high press we lose the ball constantly Our CMs are technically good but weak - see above Our strikers are small and weak - so when we hoof it forward we just lose the ball. Today also our GK was poor - but norma...

Re: Hunt Vs Richardson 14 games each what's changed

It generally shows that we've improved since LR was appointed - but it is worth noting that NH was handicapped by lack of signings at the start of the season. Still think that overall it was the right decision to change managers. Do you agree so too, as I know at the start you said that it was a mis...

Sutekh
rabidbee Sounds more like a journo has Googled "football managers who used to play for Blackburn Rovers" and turned it into an article.

Is this where we can start the Parky to come home rumours?

Both Richardson leaving here and Parky leaving Wrexham are not going to happen ...

Ask Stuart Fenton SKY did! Thank you, an interesting read. Not something I can get excited about but let’s hope it’s positive Yeah anyone that's worked with big data will know is that it doesn't just happen with the flick of a switch, it involves huge investment in finding what data to include and ...

In fact, he got too much on it ... he was stretching for it and it needed more of a gentle touch, but it wasn't a glaring miss by any means.

Ricardo Santos’ will not be joining Reading due to failing a medical. https://x.com/i/status/2011828284732895661 Small point but I remember listening to a podcast with the Arsenal physio and he said nobody fails a medical as that isn't want the process is about - he is simply an input into the risk...

Re: Expecting two to be announced today/very soon

This is exactly what we've been crying out for. An experienced big man upfront who also gets goals, and bonus points for having played under LR. Great signing. He might be tall, but I'm not sure he's a stereotypical 'big man'. Last couple of seasons he's only been winning 25% of headers. Even when ...
