Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Funny how some people are already asking for more money to be spent and have forgotten where that got us under the previous ownership. It's the typical attitude - I want everything but don't want to pay for it. I don’t. But this is what I’m been saying RC is setting expectations saying things like ...

Re: Fixtures 2025/26

I assume there's 9 european prem teams this year, so o11 come in for round 2, making 46 and then the 9 come in for round 3 If there was only 8 euro lads a 72 team first round would work I await Sutekh's thoughts on this My thoughts are… Preliminary Round = 4 teams (played w/c 4th August) - draw to ...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

The thing with Craig is he had a pretty serious injury which curtailed his season, so its possible any offer took that in to consideration as always a risk that he doesn't comeback quite the same player.

I liked him though, so would be a shame.

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Losing Craig is the most disappointing out of the 3 for me. Really surprised Wareham and Wifi are choosing to leave as they both get good amount of game time and it ain’t as if we are splashing loads of cash and brought in any other strikers or wingers. Wonder who the top player we just missed out ...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

So if this is accurate We are now in to pre-season and 16 days away from the first friendly without a single recognised striker definitely staying on for next season. Appreciate the club has been left in a mess and that improvements may take time but we are getting to the stage where the squad will...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Elm Park Kid Unfortunately WiFi might not be staying after all. Bit of a miscommunication. Up in the air that one.

Wareham has gone to Exeter. Craig gone as well.

Well - the summer is getting interesting...

Ver Chooo Trophy draw We are in a group with Swindon and MK. U21 team to be confirmed tomorrow. Not sure which team we will play home or away yet. The draw for the Vertu Cup thing isn't until tomorrow at 2.30pm so either you're mystic Meg or perhaps telling porkies.... Nope just able to read. Linco...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Insider knowledge? Sorry I’m being slow, what does this mean? It means, what’s the source for the statement. There’s a lot of random statements being thrown around about players signing but no factual evidence in the media or on the club website to back the “statements” up. EPK has got some previou...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

We are delighted to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Jack Stevens on a two year contract until the summer of 2027 https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2025/june/25/jack-stevens-signs/ Well that came out of nowhere - so shows there are things happening that we know nothing about. Clearly here as an ex...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

I was told yesterday that they are expecting everyone to sign back up apart from mBengue who is already gone and Wareham who is 90% gone. Maybe one other . Kind of surprised at that one. So by that reckoning if the potential "one other" to not re-sign is Craig or WiFi we have only managed...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Pre season starts today, can we read into who turns up? If you were rejecting a contract offer, would you join up this week? I would suggest that the Reading FC Social Media Admin may know what they are doing. First day of pre-season and they post a picture of Meite meeting a fan at training from a...

Re: Changes In Football thread

Was playing golf yesterday with some of the inlaws family and friends, one of whom is a referee in the Cheshire league. He's a level 4 qualified ref, which makes him eligible for a few local cup finals. He was saying yesterday that if he was to push on to get the qualiifications to become a Premier...

Re: The generic transfer thread

They have still not agreed to a deal on wages though at the club are currently breaking the wage rules and need to offload players first before the Spanish FA will allow a ...

Re: New Kits 2019/20

Winston Biscuit Cambridge have done a really decent job of making a fun video with current players and former legends for their kit launch

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NvMFVrLTYI

Fair play that is a great kit launch video.
