Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

No-one seems to have picked up on this, but a Wigan fan died at the game. My condolences to their family and friends. No-one should be dying at a football match.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

It was definitely a 4-2-3-1 as its base: Pereira Nyambe - O'Connor - Ward - Dorsett Wing - Fraser Lane - Doyle - Roberts Marriott Would shift into something like these at different times: Pereira O'Connor - Ward - Dorsett Nyambe - Wing - Fraser - Roberts Lane - Doyle Marriott Pereira O'Connor - Ward...

Re: Richardson out

While the style of play can be an infuriating watch at times, one can't really argue with the uptick in results and ultimately, he inherited Hunt's squad and has had a window to try and shift it to a squad of his own making. Would really expect a promotion push next season should he not pull it off...

Re: Squad for 2025-2026

Sutekh Andre GARCIA - 2026 - also attacking midfielder

Sam HARRISON - 2026 (Sam is listed everywhere as just a Defender).

Garcia's obviously been sold. Fairly certain Harrison is a centre-back.

Re: Club to be sold again ?

I do think they'll look to maximise their investment which to me, means getting promoted to the Championship at a minimum before selling us on. This is what I expect: promotion before selling. Although the relative demand behind the scenes may be why they were willing to spend as much as they did i...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Turgid, but somehow got the win. Wigan much better in possession that us and were actually looking to progress the ball properly. Too many of our balls, once again, are too safe or too long. The lack of off the ball movement doesn't help; nor does our shape tbh. Have to say Doyle looks our best atta...

Garcia was on the bench for Club NXT (Club Brugge's U21s) at the weekend, but didn't appear. They lost 2-1 away to Beerschot.

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2024/25

Looks like a strong side out and a great half-time scoreline. Winners go into the quarter-finals, with Bournemouth (2-1 away at Sheff Utd) and Colchester (1-0 at home to Swansea) already qualified. The remaining ties are: ⋅ 9 Feb - Burnley vs Brentford ⋅ 9 Feb - Watford vs Charl...

Apparently. and according to Richardson, four full days since he was signed were not enough to impart him with all the information he requires to play in the team!  Must be an incredibly slow learner and/or we must be using an incredibly complicated system of play! Wow!! No disrespect,...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

Finally able to get on here. Quite similar to the Leyton Orient and Northampton matches, where we didn't look particularly good and it came down to who took their chances. Gave up too many good chances against a supposedly weaker side. First goal is something we've seen a number of times under Richa...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Leicester deducted six points for PSR breaches: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c5y31xk1zx0o Leaves them above the relegation zone on goal difference. They should be strong enough to stay up, but certainly keeps/puts them in the relegation picture. They appear to have turned into a co...

The Israeli guy (or the one that owns an Israeli club anyway) is out in terms of shareholding: Reading Football Club can confirm that Ross Kestin has sold his shareholding in Dogwood Football LLC to Rob Couhig, Todd Trosclair and Rick Catania. The transaction was completed amicably, and the Club is ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wimbledon (a)

Almost a complete sell out - Wimbledon appear to have thirty-five tickets remaining on their website. Seems their fans can 'donate' their season ticket back to the club too - so the club can resell those seats.

Re: Rinomhota CONFRIMED

I guess he was a free agent, then time out for a family emergency. He must be well short of the required fitness level. Hopefully he's ready in a couple of weeks as I can see him making a real impact in this team. Seems he was close to being regularly involved before the family emergency, as he was...

Winston Biscuit Jhon Duran joins Zenit. His 4th club in 13 months.

Impressive he's done the traditional 'big wage relative to ability leagues' of MLS; Saudi; Turkey and Russia by the age of twenty two!

RG30 1,180 sold. Now on a full and final allocation of 3,049.

I think that's the full stand. Great to see people have responded well to the £10 tickets.

Sounds like his head might be in the same place that Michail Antonio's was when he went on loan from us to Sheffield Wednesday - desperate to play and make an impression, so dropping down a couple of divisions to somewhere he knows he can get good game and hopefully contribute to a team looking for...
