Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Van Nistelrooy and Leicester City part company The second half of their season is a study in total failure. 1 goal scored in 12 games, at one point they had lost 16 out of 17. 9 consecutive home defeats without scoring. Was only home wins in May over their two fellow relegated sides that gave RvN a...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Various sources saying Guehi to Liverpool is close. I'm still not convinced this is happening but a couple of reliable Liverpool sources going with it - just not the likes of Ornstein and Romano yet.

Jarrell Quansah to Leverkusen nearly there, at £30m + £5m add-ons. Liverpool have a buy-back option for €60m, active from 2027.

Re: England - the future....

Sutekh England 2-1 Netherlands and will now play Germany or France in the final.

Carsley really should step up to the full England Job permanently…

Do wonder whether his going back to the U21s was always the plan, or whether that game where he fcuked around playing no centre-forward ultimately cost him.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Winston Biscuit Kepa on his way to Arsenal for £5M.

He's had an odd career

Yeah, that's an odd choice on his part. Has just had a good season as a starter at Bournemouth, surely another loan move where he will play would make more sense?

He's 30 years old already.

Italian football kits get me moist #5131. Napoli 25/26, albeit this is a special edition 4th kit, commemorating 2,500 since Naples' founding.

Viktor Gyökeres tells Sporting that he will not play for the club again - after the owner supposedly broke a gentleman's agreement that he'd be able to leave this summer, now playing hardball on the fee.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Jarrell Quansah to Leverkusen is close, and for around £35m, which in the context of the Wirtz price, is madness. Fabrizio Romano says that once that deal is sealed, Liverpool will 'activate centre back options' and are expected to make a bid for Marc Guehi. Any more of this and it will begin to loo...

Scutterbucketz Yes, think I prefer it with white shorts and socks.

See that's lovely. Chance I'd be a 44 year old full kit w@nker if that were released.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

I think it's great. A nod to our history. But white shorts would work better. The effect of the pattern is to lose to the vibrancy of the blue in the shirt - so the shorts look like they are a different shade.

Could be TAA vs Robertson next season in the Madrid derby as the Robertson could be about to join Atletico. Talking of Liverpool, some reports coming out of Italy are suggesting Napoli are up for a Osimhen/Nunez swap deal  Automatically stop listening when someone suggests a swap deal! Pure sh...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

No news ever 'breaks' any more, does it?

Sky Sports says 'Sheffield United to sack Chris Wilder this week.'

So he either didn't know, or now he does. Or he does know but the club hasn't announced it yet. Either way, Sky Sports leading that something is going to happen, but hasn't yet.

Sutekh Well SecondPlace FC look like they’ll miss out on Zubimendi, who now appears to be Real bound, so are finally attempting to buy a striker by the name of Sexko or something.

Xabi Alonso as boss might be the key there. Zubimendi has long said he models his game on him.

Re: The generic transfer thread

Have to say that Trent saying leaving Liverpool was the hardest decision of his life, and then speaking fluent Spanish at the presser before stating (and correcting, pointlessly) that he has 'had to wait a long time' to join Real, is shithousery of the highest order. Well he has had 2 years to lear...

What sort of numbers is Wirtz gonna have to put up to be considered successful? With a 150M price tag it's gotta be high! Something like this, which is his 24/25 season vs. Lamine Yamal, and puts him in the same ballpark. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GrsCQFIWsAEx7w4?format=jpg&name=small Liverpo...

Its the exact same thing politicians are trained to do. just keep talking and talking and talking, w...
