Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Fair enough, I thought they also took 'covering players' into consideration but that may just be pundit bollocks.

Either way it was a dopey tackle that he arguably didn't need to make.

Re: Favourite Reading game?

I missed a few games at the start of 05/06 as we were on holiday, but then saw nearly every game the rest of the season. I only really missed midweek games up north. What a time, I was so lucky.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

I thought the red was a bit harsh as there were players on the line so Derrick may not have been able to just roll it in, but then again it was a completely cynical foul so they have no real reason to complain. As Orion said, Kelvin E's trip in the aftermath looked like more of a pen for them than t...

Re: Ex Royals

Brendan Rodgers named manager of Saudi team, Al-Qadsiah I’m sure he joined due to the quality of the Saudi league I'd have much more respect for players and managers if they just said they were going because they can earn (!) more money there in two years than they'd ever be able to spend, and they...

Re: Ex Royals

Let's hope their continued inclusion gets us a bit more cash. I am glad to see Knibbs is getting involved, and he scored the other week too against Cov who are running away with the league. Amadou is very popular at QPR, not surprisingly, and I saw he got man of the match the other night. I saw a gr...

Re: Ex Royals

Tyler Bindon has finally made another couple of appearances for Sheff U. Played the second half at the weekend and a full 90 last night - seems to have put in two solid performances and is getting plaudits from fans and Wilder too. He won't want to be missing too many more games leading into the Wor...

Re: Rumour - Benn Ward

It certainly seems like a no-brainer but I am not convinced Couhig would want to pay. He'd probably think, 'if he's free in six months we'll wait until then' without realising that other clubs would just take the chance on him now. I suppose none of us know what the transfer budget actually is and w...

Re: Ex Royals

2 ex-Royals combine for the Sh!ts this PM, for their 2nd goal in the remarkably late comeback win vs Alty at the (W)Rec. Sounds bizarre but CB-C reportedly given the 'assist' for Tyler Frost's 92' winner  :? ...looked into it - their fans are raving about his quick throw-outs ..... ECHO: the...

Re: Rumour - Benn Ward

I must admit I know nothing about this character, but if we are looking to sign young, hungry players like this then I quite like it. We used to make signings like this, and often got them right. Of course if he's on a free in six months I can't see us going in for him in January, as unless he comes...

Re: Ex Royals

So I take it that these clubs are forced to select a starting XI with a certain number of players who played in the previous league game so the clubs try to get round it by subbing off a number of those particular starters as soon as possible? Another stupid competition none of the clubs must want ...

Re: Plymouth Argyle (A)

Great memories of Home Park, seeing us get back to 2-2 late on after being absolutely shite and then of course 05/06 which is one of the first games I really thought we had the chance to go all the way.

EDIT: I am not going to this one. Combo of £30 and Boxing Day enough to put me off!

Re: Stadium Matchday Upgrade

I get the impression that an awful lot of the infrastructure within the stadium has probably not been replaced since it was built. So, you can put new speakers in and have fancy radio microphones and all that stuff, but if the underlying hardware is outdated and not maintained it won't make it any b...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

A really poor game yesterday, cementing us firmly in the lower third of League One. Contrast with the bluster and noise of a fireworks display at the end and I'm sure there's some parallels in there with the owner and his 'improvements' to various things.

Mid Sussex Royal
WestYorksRoyal Leandro Bacuna will captain Curacao at the world cup next year. Some achievement for them to qualify.

Obviously Steve Clarke will be there too.

And Clement - he's assistant manager of Brazil.

Shitbags reunion.

Re: Rumour - the Yak back

A few years back a mate of mine got shown around a house by Mick Gooding. Apparently he was really good with my mate's young daughter, asking her if she liked the house and about school and stuff in a genuine and non-patronising way. Left a lasting impression on his wife and daughter, which is nice...
