At the end of 38 games we will be exactly where we deserve to be. Whether that is relegated or just barely avoiding it remains to be seen. We were horrible today. We looked tentative, nervous and Fulham played loose, like they had nothing to lose. Four games left, hang on it's going to be a bumpy ride.

I think Shorey and Oster summed it up today by getting drunk in Mix Bar. Forget about all the paying supporters, lets spend our 15k a week on booze. I really wanted to go up and ask 'WHAT THE oxf*rd HAPPENED TODAY?' And when is a Div1 team gonna make a bid for Oster.....

should've gone to the bar manager (pretending to be Shorey's agent) and ordered "babycham all round" on his account

You should've bought Oster a drink

Yes, stop having hopes, and accept what Mr Mad and Sir Steve are gracious enough to give you you little ungrateful parasites. You parasites who have a fraction of the wealth of the 2 demi Gods who know far better how to run our club. You parasites who travel the length and breadth of the country spending what little disposable income Sir Gordon Brown lets you keep at the end of each month. You little parasites who have supported the club all your lives and will continue to do so long after Mr mad gets his £40M loan back with interest and Sir Steve shuffles off to head UEFA or whatever.

AthleticoSpizz you are a oxf*rd turd of the highest order. Let's all rejoice and celebrate relegation. We are little Reading and should never have any aspirations for bigger and better things. Be thankful for 2 years at the top table, the oxf*rd off back to Div 3 to join the likes of Aldershit, The Swine and The Pox.

What must be going through their minds to think that the only option they have is to hoof the ball the Long and Doyle everytime when you've got Mr Hangleland saying ' thank you, i'll get my head on that everytime', its pathetic. Kitson should have been on from the start, no questions asked.

John Peel Before I have my turn to rant, people must admit that our performance was still better than against Villa and Bolton. Fulham were class - hats off to them I say. Passing - great, movement - great, midfield - awesome.

Rosenoir was one of our worst players last week and matched that performance this week. One fantastic block is not enough. What's happened to the player against Man City? Play Murts next week.

Hunt is utter sh*te at the moment and his great effort isn't good enough. Play Convey next week.

Harper wasn't poor, but we need someone who can make tackles and I'd much rather play Marek to do the creating. Play Cisse or Fae next week.

Bike and Inga - probably our best players today. Thought the positioning for 90% of the time was good and they were also on the right side of players to make some great blocks.

Shorey - if he didn't set up/score so many goals for a defender I'd be calling for his head. His passing was awful today and just didn't look like he cared.

Doyle is a striker and hasn't scored for about 5 months. Stop playing your favourites Steve!

Long - is an impact player ONLY. He's great at that role so please stop playing him from the start Steve.

Oster - thought the booing was utterly disgraceful. The man wasn't great, but was still better than some. Scapegoat. Still, play Blakey next week. The man can cross if nothing else!!

If Arsenal lose tomorrow they won't be playing for anything next week and will utterly downhearted. Can see us getting something if that happens.

It's still in our hands. We seemed to have the defence sorted (for a relegation team anyway) but the midfield is playing second fiddle too often. Same against Newcastle last week.

agree with everthing you say apart from Doyle, he is low on cofidence but still created our best chance with that header and the service is he is getting is more shocking than the weather today

Doyle didn't create the chance.

He missed it. And having just seen it again on SSN it was the best chance we have had in weeks.

He was barely even under a challenge.

I'm positive Shorey was drunk before the game started. I bet he'll be using both feet at his next club.

Alan Partridge Said before the game it would be shit, thankfully though Fulham gave me some football to watch.

LOL @ Reading, seriously we are RUBBISH.

Bolton 3 Reading 0
Reading 0 Bolton 2
Fulham 3 Reading 1
Reading 0 Fulham 2

Deserve to go down.

Precisely, that load of utterly pathetic rubbish that the players served up yesterday was inept, shameful, embarrassing and totally inexcusable.

To cap it all Steve Coppell's idea of a tactical switch was to play a mobile gnome against a giant toadstool and then have the team spend most of the game playing the ball up in the air to him.

Quite what Doyle has to do to get dropped is quite beyond me, after all isn't the most important thing about strikers is that they put the ball in the net? Mind you Kevin's case is hardly helped by the total failure of SC to bring in a right winger and to find a proper left winger from somewhere. On top of all that we're expected to find a player of the season. Well, for me so far its Glen Little!

Lastly the 4 games listed above really are without doubt the 4 games that have cost us this season. To produce 1 bad performance in them would have perhaps been understandable, 2 is pushing it but 4! On each and every occasion against these two absolutely dreadful sides we've been totally embarrassing. Just 3 points - perhaps even 2 - from them would be leaving us in a fairly safe position.

The managerial decisions this season have really made a total pigs ear of it all. Of couse if Steve can get the side to react and play like we know they can in the remaining 3 "proper" games we have then there's a chance after all its still in our hands.

I'd say that this season is our 3rd best season ever, not second !

Last season the best
The Championship winning season when we mullered the division = 2nd best
This season - 3rd
Next season - who knows!

I just KNEW that the players wouldn't be able to stay at home and ponder that result. I even went so far to say in another thread that I hoped I didn't bump into them last night. They'll be glad I didn't see them. Talk about rubbing our noses in it. Play w@nk, go out into local town and have a few drinks. They were lucky they weren't chinned by some drunken supporter to be fair.

If I was the manager, I'd have said at the end of my team talk - "and don't even think about going anywhere where you might bump into our supporters. Stay home, and think very carefully where we went wrong and whether you want to be playing for this club in future" and I've sent that to Kitson in a text.

They should have spent the evening watching re runs of the game whilst flaggilating their bare backs with barbed wire in an opus dei stylee.

Or at the very least, not gone out on the piss. I too would have struggled to resist telling them what I thought of the performance.
