Where will we finish?

by AbovetheI » 06 Apr 2009 22:19

I think 4th. Sheff U will bring a couple of thousand, outsing Y25 and see their team home with a 2-0 win. (Halford brace)
We'll have to suffer in the playoffs.

Hoo-ray.

2nd, on goal difference, assuming we win 4, draw 2 (and yes I do watch us home and away)

If current form is anything to go by, lower.
BUT because I see the bright side in everything, 4th.

(fortunately) it's only a game.
I just hope that at the next meeting of the FL they vote for the season to end in December because yet again our "stars" have become flops after the New Year.

Why does it happen. Well being cynical I must observe that mssrs K Doyle and S Hunt (for example) played much better before they completed their contract extensions.

Players don't get spectacularly worse unless they stop trying. I think players that stop trying should stop being played and stop being paid.

Not so. Our form is comparable to that of Cardiff, Preston, Swansea and Bristol C so on current form we should remain above them.

Gump,

Don't be nieve Shunt and Doyle played well before Xmas because they wanted a move. Coppell's mistake was keeping players who didn't want to be at the club anymore (and I include Harper in this). Both players know they'll move in the summer, so what incentive have they got for performing now ?

Why isn't there an option for top?

In my opinion, the assumption that Shunt and Doyle have stopped trying couldn't be further from the truth.

Indeed, Shunt seems to almost be trying too hard - if only he'd relax, realise he didn't have to put his head down and run up blind alleys all the time, or rush his delivery, then we'd see better product from him. Take a second, play the simple ball if you have to, Stephen.

Doyler? He's run himself into the ground for us, game in game out all season. If this is the thanks he gets, good luck to him he deserves to move to a better club.

Looking at the remaining fixtures i cant see anyone catching Wolves, i can see Brum sweating about our game on the last day of the season tho, and i could also see Sheff utd winning their remaining games, and sneaking into second spot, with us and Brum dropping to 3/4, why did we have to leave the game at derby so late, it really would have been better to have got it played asap after it was postponed.

I've also added a "top" option for the unrealistic pcunts out there.

But that IS shunt's game! Head down, blind alleys, limited ability. Take that away from him and there is not a lot left to play with

1. Wolves
2. Sheff Utd
3. Brum
4. Cardiff
5. RFC
6. Preston

Cardiff to beat Brum at Wembley, after beating us in both legs of the semi.

I have it as this as well. Apart from Burnley replacing Preston.
