So we've replaced a manager and two coaches with one coach. Nice one.

No. We've replaced a Head Coach and 2 Asst Coaches with a Head Coach and 2 Asst Coaches.
The only gap is a U23s coach.

Wasn't Leigertwood the U18 manager?

Gilkes I think?

No Leigertwood was U18 manager and Hunt U21 manager. My point was around headcount of coaches at the club, particularly with the other coaching redundancies last year. My guess is the vacancies won't be filled and workloads will be increased for everyone leading to further corner cutting. If the current regime is still in place when the next academy review is due next July we have no chance of retaining cat one status.

July 2025 or 2026? There's certainly no hope if it's the former, but some chance if it's the latter.

We shouldn't be trying to maintain it if we're still in League One much longer. It needs a downgrade to save costs.

My understanding is there are quite a few coaches and some of them are part time. Particularly with the younger age groups. Some of those may have their hours increased. Recruitment at that level is also unlikely to be done in a few days. Nor should it be. We want good coaches not to just appoint the first person we can.

So getting panicky about it barely a week after Selles left is rather half cocked

I guess FB will always be a struggle when 3 of them are total sick notes Yiadom, Abrefa and Dorsett.

Indeed. Does anyone know what’s happened to Dorsett; I guess he’s got injured at some point, unless there’s a suspension.

He's not looked fully fit most of the season.

Button's midweek red card not carried over to League?

Trophy doesn't affect League.

Good start for Blackpool, less so us.

Oh Knibbs, should have scored that.

That's disgraceful defending from Mbengue, just stood off a route one ball to the striker, let him bring it down and lay it off under no challenge or pressure.

That's a penalty. FFS

Craig fouled in the build up to 2.

We're not playing well, Blackpool are

Sounds like it's been a mediocre performance but not a stinker. Blackpool being more ruthless tha you normally see at this level, plus Knibbs has missed a sitter and Craig had a strong penalty shout.

Elliott the only player having anything close to a good game. Savage has been really poor. Smith anonymous. Back four awful.

Elliott's as guilty as anyone for giving it away.

Mbengue's come down on his head and neck really badly. Stretcher on. Neck brace out.

Walking off, but looks a bit unsteady.

Should not be staying on imo. Mbengue arguing with doctor and physio who want him to come off, but he comes back on anyway. That's very poor from the management team and officials.
