JJ said in his first interview with the club that we wouldn't be able to keep all the players we've offered contracts to, so it probably won't come as a surprise to the hierarchy. Can't really judge how big a loss these players are until the transfer window shuts. Probably wise to keep the powder dry until then.

AthleticoSpizz If he’s ‘not good enough’ to be a regular starter here for us, that doesn’t bode well for the team that will be starting him regularly.

Do you think Reading and Exeter have equal expectations of what their season could be?
I guess you could say, (on paper) our expectations are higher than theirs….they are willing to regularly start a player that we consider not good enough (to start regularly).

From the limited pics on line looks like Yaks and Ovie were training with us yesterday.

Find statements about RC not having the 'money' laughable - he never claimed that he'd come in and splash the cash. Would we want him to? What we want and he will give is building up a sustainable club - if that means losing some players who demand excessive wages, that's what it means. I'm sure we can replace those leaving with others released from Prem club academies who with good coaching will become the next Craig, Wareham or whoever. That's the big plus in League 1 - it provides a great opportunity for talented players who've not made it at Prem/Champ level to prove themselves. Hopefully unlike in previous years we will tie them down to longer term contracts, so we can sell them on for a profit. That's what RC is all about.

Be disappointed about all 3. I like Craig but do think the love in is a bit overdone at times

Like both Kelvin and Wareham as well but are replaceable

Where are these Meite, Kelvin, Ovie pics? Haven’t seen any of them on Twitter

Is a bit nuts how people forensically check these vids for players though..

but the point is, and what the fans are getting pissed off about is the wrong language being used by him. things like, 'we are going to have a spectacular transfer window' which is a direct quote from him a couple of weeks back.

Elm Park Kid Unfortunately WiFi might not be staying after all. Bit of a miscommunication. Up in the air that one.

Wareham has gone to Exeter. Craig gone as well.

Totally shit Craig gone, though not surprised given how strong midfield is.

Last season's squad is getting utterly gutted. Going to have to seriously revise expectations at this rate. Even if we make good signings, they'll be so many there's no way they can all succeed and gel quickly

My guess is Ryan and Clarke >> Garcia and Stickland. Garcia further forward. Yiadom >> Abrefa

It’s getting there, will just take time

Don’t get me wrong, it's just nice to have a club.

But we're potentially losing half of our starting XI from last season through players declining contracts and choosing to go elsewhere. And some of them seem sideways or maybe even slightly downward moves.

So, that's football! Nothing was perfect last season. Craig spent his time out of position, Wifi was usually a giraffe on ice and Wareham didn't exactly tear the place up. Not altogether difficult to replace with equal or better players in the 5, or whatever, weeks left until Lincoln IMO, even then there's another month until the window closes.

I know the club can have many irons in the fire at once, but I always find it unnerving when we make an uninspiring signing somewhere we ok, at the same time as having basically no strong options in multiple other positions at once.

Seeing Stevens sign behind Pereira when we don't really have a proven first team quality fullback for either flank (or has Yids signed... but then he’s rarely fit and on the wane), half of CB covered, the only reliable winger was playing CM and zero strikers.

I bloody loved Bindon, Mbengue and Craig, so finding out they're all going is a real low blow. We could be losing virtually all our best revent Academy graduates this summer too by the sounds
