Today’s result was magic. We’d had a very favourable run of games since Leam came in and today was always going to be his biggest test. He passed with flying colours. What I liked was Charlie savage did a post match interview where he said Stockport line up shook us. And it showed, they were the better team for the first 15. Usually they play 3 at the back - they went with 4, and put a man on both wing and savage. Queue the usual Pereira ‘injury’ but this time on 15 mins. Leam called the team over and made changes to adapt to the unexpected line up. This to me is very encouraging and not something I ever would have expected hunt to have done. No plan B for hunt. Encouraging, shows he has some tactical nouse.

So you admit that your statement of: "Should never have been appointed." ... was a bit off?
Incidentally, the sham injury was at 9 minute mark ... and, yes, LR did a very good job of responding to it that NH wouldn't have done.
Look I’m a reading fc fan and have been since the early 90’s I want the club to do well. I don’t want to revel in the clubs demise. I want couhig and Leam to be a success. Just like everyone else. I hope I’m wrong. I want to be wrong. I want to come on here and say yeah I got it wrong.

Whore Jackie Yeah, it's a been a great start and 13 from 15 over Christmas is exceptional. Credit to the coaches too, Burns, Fraser and especially Kelvin E look so much better than they did with Hunt in charge.
Given how much Couhig has invested in the new coaching structure, I'm expecting a decent January player investment, specially with the PO places looking far more attainable than they did a month ago.

Kelvin looks a different player. One of the main whinges was ‘big guy who can’t head the ball’ but noticed he has won 7 aerial duals in the last two games (guess about an hour of football). That’s a very impressive number. Been better holding the ball as well
Shame they couldn’t work the same magic with MoM but nevermind

MR. CYNICAL Wasn't impressed by his appointment, especially when it became obvious he likes to play long ball, can't argue with the last 5 results but it's fine margins, Luton could of gone either way once they got back to 2-2, Peterborough we could easily of lost 4-1 but hung on and Stockport we had to rely on another Wing screamer in the last minute to win the game and the football has been turgid to say the least.
Let's see what this window brings as regards his playing style and if we can build on this run of results before getting carried away.

I don't think he does like to play long ball. But with a team in poor form, you play simple and direct because they're going to struggle with much else.
Our last two games we've had 52.1% & 53% possession and 79% & 80% pass accuracy. And there was a notable decrease in long balls against Stockport. It seems to me, he's stabilised things, got the players confidence and form up, and is now starting to transition into more complex and passing football. I guess we'll see how that progresses.
He's always going to be fairly direct, or rather high tempo attacking intent, I suspect.
