Arch Well, what do you make of the fact that our current strikers have scored four between in them in the first three games?

well what do you make of the fact we have won 1 in 3 and if we average 4 points every 3 games we wont go up? no goals from other areas of the pitch and other teams scoring a lot more?

I think if we can average 1.33 points per game in a season where we play 2/3rds of our games away from home, we'd not have done too badly.

I guess you must be gutted to see four teams in this division alone are on course to break our 106 point record.

ZacNaloen highball into the 6 yard box = goal keepers, surely?

Can't be bothered to watch the highlights. More important things to do :?

Certainly my thoughts when I saw the goal. Only watched it once though.

That was kind of my initial thoughts Zac, just wondered if it was anywhere near accurate.

Federici has been getting quite a bit of praise for another couple of saves, just wondering if he wasted that with another soft goal conceded.

It was a soft goal from a corner defence all at sea. Not Feds fault.

or....anything in the air in the 6 yrd box is keepers ball.
yet again feds shows an inability to command his area which costs us another soft goal

Careful, we're close to agreeing on something there!

I've seen the goal now and I have to say that I don't think Federici could've done anything differently as it was a decent delivery with a lot of pace. Some keepers may well have come and punched it because they're not stuck to their line so much but it's not one I'd really put a black mark against him for.

How/why? One point per home match and three points per two away matches will not get a team promotion.

Agreed, roughly the average for 2nd place equals 1.83 points per game, with 6th place at 1.53. (over the last three seasons)

We are currently 1.33, but if we win against Barnsley it will rise to 1.75......

Nevertheless it's far too early in the season to draw any meaningful conclusions......

oh dear brendywendy.

3 games, one win, one draw, one defeat = a season average of 61.3 points.

Teams often go up with 61 points from the championship?

Highlights were at an awful angle to see anything for their goal.

Looked a bit crowded for Federici to claim and it also dropped into the melee in the middle of the goal so he have had to have come to it about in line with his near post. Hard to blame him for this one IMO. Couldn't really tell who was marking Kitson, it appeared to be no one - which is idiotic. Looked like Khumalo was closest to him when he scored, but he'd been hanging back before that. Leigertwood failed to climb high enough to win the the ball and head it clear.

Personally I'd say that goal was down to Legs, Khumalo and whoever was meant to be marking Kitson if not one of them.
