For Stattos

How many RFC players have played in the Champions League (before or after they joined/left us)?

I assume Karacan is the only academy graduate to play in it?

I don't think his shooting is THAT bad.

He almost scored against Swansea that time.

If we're including loans then Ryan Bertrand has won the bloody thing.

Bertrand won it!

Shorey played in the UEFA cup for Villa.

Edit: Sa has played in the UEFA cup too.

One8Seven1* I'd still rather Tish than Karacan though!

:|

Why?

Karacan was a key component of a title winning side, and Tshibola is hyped up like all our recent academy graduates. He's had like 2 good games.

Lol. Hype or not and even in his few appearances, Tish has played better and looked a more assured, accomplished and mature player than Karacan ever did or ever will.

When Jem did something good you always felt it was more by luck than judgement. 100% rather have Tish than Karacan.

Viktor Illugason has played in it for Breidablik.

Behave.

Jem and Leigertwood were a big reason why we got promoted. Just because Tishbola had a few good games for Hartlepool doesn't make him a world beater.

I'd agree that they were big reasons, and Gorkss and Pearce were stalwarts in the defence which kept 20+ clean sheets. Doesn't mean I'd have them in the team over McShane.

You're not making a good case for your argument by demeaningly referencing his time at Hartlepool. Since the first game against Birmingham this season, Tshbola was consistently one of the best players on the park up until his injury.

I might be on my own here but imho Tish > Karacan, and I'm not even talking about potential.

Also you mention hyping up our own academy players, which you may well have a point about, but let's not forget that complements for Karacan came under the same criticism from many.

2 good games more than Aaron Kuhl, who everyone spaffed themselves silly about because he managed to string 3 passes together in a few Under 18s matches.

Exactly the point I was trying to make. People make out as if Tishbola is Denis Law.

Tshibola isn't Scottish.

He and Kuhl should both be playing in the Premier League within five years though. I know it's fashionable to bash our academy players but they've both shown their quality.
