Everybody knew Anton's personal wealth was limited and that it was his father who had the real money. Yes you couldn argue a degree of shortsightedness that he couldn't or didn't foresee the scenario playing out like he did but he was good enough for the football league due diligence, though that probably means little.

For me the positives of his tenure far outweigh the negatives of a latter lack of investment and the sale to what turned out to be a load of shit.

And he did stay around to fix it. I guess because he stood to lose a few £m but also I (would like to) think due to a sense of pride and loyalty to the club.

Everton showed us up in the League cup this season. Every free kick and throw in was taken quickly leaving the Reading players looking like a load of park hoofers.

It has been painful to watch recently, last night was truly dreadful. No pace, no ideas, how many touches does Danny Williams need to control a bloody ball. How many runs does Vydra need to make before Norwood actually passes to him, instead of turning back and knocking it sideways to Gunter who then knocks it sideways blah blah blah.

Watched Clarkes's recent interviews on Sky today. What a miserable twat he is. Good riddance.

You lost my attention at the point you criticised Norwood's passing.

You have a point though. Norwood's passing, as good as it is, he rarely spotted any of the attacking player's runs in behind the defence, Vydra making the most. The whole midfield were guilty of this yesterday though, and it's purely down to confidence and the fear of giving the ball away/losing, as demonstrated by our more solid, yet creatively lacking performance.

It's nothing to do with confidence or fear, it was everything to do with the wind. Early on, both teams were trying a lot of long passes with little luck because the ball was getting caught in the wind and intercepted. Cutting that out was a sensible tactical decision.

So the fact that Norwood is playing to deep to be effective and is unable to see Vydra's runs is because of the wind on Thursday night?

What about all the other games?

Maybe the wind is why Gunter bottles out of every tackle and is unable to cross the ball, and is also why Hector has become and arrogant twat who hoofs the ball vertically every time he gets it.

You'd think Gunter would be better at crossing the ball given the amount of times he watches the other team's left winger do it.

Funny from you sandmong!
I have never seen such a pointless right back, the amount of crosses which get passed him is staggering.

That's some strange fetish you got there.

Not sure this relationship will work out.

Yeah, you in some drab depressing hourly-rate hotel room watching Sandy taking pride in beating up a handicapped man, doesn't sound like a great way to spend an evening tbh
