According to some Brighton fans he already knew and was just playing the victim to make the Brighton board. Not sure how true that is but if you don't turn up to disciplinary meetings...

AirRaidSiren He also seems to have a good relationship with Anton, ....

Huh? Didn't seem to do BMcD any good did it? I still think Anton made his first big mistake there, but there's hope he can learn from it, I think Anton is our biggest doubt.

Adkins - I share the underwhelmed opinion of his personality & communications, but his record and tactics look OK, so he can succeed.

Anton done what is best for the club, not what's best for Brian McDermott. Are you still stuck in April 2013?

not really the point tbf. you inferred that being friendly with anton would help in some way
and he said, brian had a good relationship, but it didnt help him.

and anton did what is best for the club. not anton done....oh never mind

You could argue quite well it did help McDermott. He wouldn't have lasted to Xmas at most clubs. Just look at Adkins, sorting things out after a shoddy start and clear of relegation. Still only made it to 18 January with Saints.

Surely Adkins sacking was political so the owner could get his own man on board. Nothing to do with Adkins ability I reckon

Not intentionally, as someone else said, Soton we're on a good run when Adkins was sacked. Anyway whatever, it is to our advantage WE have him now.

Can't bear the tension at Wimbledon, so just watched Nigel's latest interview on RFC player. He comes across extremely well in it - open, honest and forthright about the new signings (strongly indicates there is at least one more exciting player to come ) and seems genuinely up beat about next season. Hardly a cliché in sight. Things are looking good.

'Greed, like what he was saying about Drenthe too in how we can help him as well as him helping us. Seems very content with how things are at the club which is obviously a good sign.

Love his new hair cut too.

But the 48-year-old, who has led teams to promotion four times in his career, knows there is no room for complacency.

And he has vowed to act quickly if he sees any of it starting to creep into his side’s performances.

He added: “We will constantly try to improve every position so the players that are here have to be on it.

“They’ve got to improve themselves or we’ll get someone else in who can improve things.”

Yes, loved him the moment he got the job. And I will love him more when we go up at a canter. I've said already we will cruise to promotion. This squad is looking superb.

Craig Tanner on Nigel Adkins:

Craig Tanner ‏@CraigTanner27 1h
@jacksimpson1996 he is an incredible manager, learning new things every day

A case of a younger power engaging in blatant brown-nosing, or another thumbs up for our new leader :?:
