tidus_mi2 That's my view entirely, I don't dislike Pog, in fact he comes across as a nice guy and definitely does seem to put the effort in, but for all the effort in the world, does his ability justify 30k+ wages? His track record here suggests not.

Ian Royal I don't like any player that's happy to run down a contract a club can't afford when he's not playing regularly. And all because he knows he's not worth it and won't get it elsewhere.

His wages would certainly be better invested elsewhere but no suggestion we can't afford them. I don't think it's fair to blame Pog for the excessive wages we agreed to pay him, I would do exactly the same thing in his shoes. Given his age and having a family to look after I can well understand why he wouldn't be desperate to go elsewhere for less money just to play out his career.

There's a reason we nearly went into Administration, couldn't sign anyone last January and are limited on the business we can do now. It's because we made a £7.5m loss last season and high wages, for which Pog is probably the worst example, is the cause.
No, it's not his fault we offered him stupid money. It is his fault he's saying oxf*rd you, I'm happy to make you keep paying me it when I'm not playing, not wanted and could be looking to find a move to actually do my job and play some football.
