Shame, would have taken a draw before the game. Exeter are the best side we’ve faced so far. If we had taken our chances we could have won. But Exeter were deserved winners in the end. On to the next one

Losing to fukking Exeter in the last minute, bloody hell this club has sunk so far.

Oh well. All part of the learning process for the young lads.

I find Selles in game management nothing short of pathetic.

I said I'd wait 15 or so games, but the inexperience is blindingly obvious.

Whenever a team is just not in the game despite the opposition being nothing it has to come down to the manage. Selles got today wrong.

I mean, this is what I'm expecting from a manager with no relevant experience, but I do obvs hope he proves me wrong.

OK for all us divs who weren't actually at the game today please explain what Selles got wrong and what should he have done.

Watched on I-follow with the commentary from Devon Radio which was quite balanced and without any hysteria.
Apparently they only had makeshift strikers in the first half which may explain them missing a number of chances.

Just as Exeter controlled the first half with Carroll pulling the strings so we did the second with Elliott shining as our playmaker.
A shame to concede late on-Abbey (who otherwise played well) looked to be muscled out of it when he should have headed clear, leaving their man to hit a good strike to score.

Unfortunately Carson doesn't look quite ready yet and IMHO Elliott has to be a starter otherwise we badly lack creativity.
As for Azeez, as a wide man striker he just doesn't score enough-maybe when he gets one he might get many more.
He really isn't that quick as shown in the first half when he was running centrally against their defender.

Early days still but I don't see us challenging for the top spots which is ok for this season which really is one of transition.

Not many managers are that good at game management and making substitutions.

Azeez is terrible. Should have been bombed out after he was more concerned with his dickhead brothers lack of playing time at Wigan than our impending relegation. Bad egg.

Apart from the very good assist in first half? I thought actually he did OK today - some bad bits and a glaring miss, but lots of good stuff as well. This is a young team and an inexperienced manager so we can expect games like this, but I thought all in all this wasn't a bad game and a bit unlucky at the end. Agree that Carson shouldn't start next game.
