You're missing the great advantage of having made your mind up irreversibly from the start - it means you can still cling to your prejudices regardless of whatever evidence and facts exists.

(Oh, and, of course, if said evidence and facts don't support what you've already decided, you can completely disregard them as being "spin" or "consiracy"...)

Franchise FC If only the FACTs that Hobnobbers spouted as FACTS were real FACTS (that sounds a bit Rafa-Rant)

Let's see if I can try one :

FACT - we will win our next ten games and escape the drop easily.

Let me know how it gets on !!

This deserves to be a thread in it's own right! especially after beating Barnsley as indicated in your subsequent post.

'Real factsssssssssssssssssssssssss at lastttttttttttt, you heard it here firsttttttttttttt!

The relevance to the thread was that someone had commented that O'Dea's comments should be viewed as not a shock as it is an Irish player supporting an Irish manager. Someone then commented that BR hails from Northern Ireland and is considered British. My point was that BR may feel British or Irish depending on his background.

O'Dea 'stars' for Celtic in their 4-0 thrashing at mighty St Mirren tonight. From watching the goals on SKY, it seemed that O'Dea did a lot of ball watching tonight  .

st george Interesting interview from Darren O'Dea in the Evening Herald in Ireland.

"I am glad I went to Reading and I learned alot about the game in the time I was there."
"Brendan Rogers was a great manager and a good bloke , but there are other people at
club who were bringing it down. Brendan was one of the good things about the club and
I owe him a lot , it's just a pity that other people at the club were not helping , and I
think that Reading , as a club , will struggle until those people are gone . As a coach
and manager , Brendan taught me a lot and I still have a lot of time for him."

Yeah, alright then Darren, cheers m8

I think they interviewed Darren Day by mistake.

Just to see how Brendan taught Darren, he was part of the celtic team that lost 4-0 tonight at st mirren, a team rangers beat with pnly 9 men on Sunday.

Darren, this season you have worked with 2 managers that believe in footalling principles. Rodgers and Mowbray. Maybe its about team you played for a manager that was interested in winning! Maybe then you would learn something useful.

Why are people having a go at O'Dea? Did nothing wrong for us at CB, IMO.

No, but he's a snitch.

And he was patently wrong.

Yep, he deserves it for taking a cheap shot at the club after not cutting it at this level (SPL = League 2)

I did read the interview. O'Dea's just being loyal to his fellow Irishman Rodgers, who brought him to the club. He's backing up Rodgers's complaint about the chief exec not communicating with him. O'Dea believes what Rodgers said, though it was probably just excuse-making: that doesn't make O'Dea a bad bloke. He did OK for us.

Since returning to Celtic, he's been involved in two games where they've conceded four goals and to top things off, he's been given death threats by drug dealers in nightclubs.

That's because he's got about 8 assists.

That's because I wasn't there. I was, however, booing Radio Berkshire.
