God is that Woolworths thing 5 years ago now, I thought it was only about 3 - doesn't time fly when your club is in financial confusion.

Reading4eva (Woolworths Online department was moved to a seperate entity before the company was liquidated)

Entertainment UK was the wholesale arm of Woolworths supplying many of the major supermarkets with their CDs and DVDs. It had been a separate entity for a long time before the administration. I believe E UK also fulfilled online orders, via a Guernsey registered company to get around charging customers VAT on online orders

Uke I now think Samuelson is probably there to stop AZ's wild dreams from wrecking everything - for instance Sissoko would have bankrupted us

I don't know what he has to do with the whole equation, you might be right but that might be Howe and Madejski or it might of been Adkins

So did Woolworths online move to Entertainment UK before or after the collapse.

Anyway, you probably get my jist how a club could be asset stripped by an owning company, especially when that company owns a majority. Very much like how Reading FC Holdings looks after the Stadium etc and is seperate from the club. However Reading FC Holdings owning the stadium or having control at least at the moment might be a godsend.

Just a wild thought... Could Madejski buy 2% of the club back to become majority shareholder again and therefore protect the club and assets from any threat.

If he doesn't do it, I pray to win the lottery so I can buy 2% and protect the club

It's not a publicly traded company so he wouldn't be able to buy back any shares from AZ without AZ's approval, if that's what you're suggesting..

What percentage of the companies that own the shares in the club are you intending to buy to make them agree to sell your shares?

How many lotteries are you intending to win?

Jonny Fordham ‏@JonnyFordham 50m
A #readingfc contact has told me that the club don't expect to see owner Anton Zingarevich at the Mad Stad again

Hopefully means that something isn't too far away and we can put this mess of a 2013 behind us.

The news on Wednesday was that it was done and only a matter of time before the club announced it.

Who is Handbags Harris? I think I recall he used to post on here? Maybe you can vouch for him, but he has also been commenting recently that it's done and dusted.

Handbags is one of the better posters on here, so I can't believe he would be making it up...

Yep, can't say agree with everything he says, but from knowing him from here and having met him a couple of times, he isn't a wind up merchant.

:?:

Last Reading game I went to (except in the away end last season) was when you were beaten at home by Southampton, the season they were relegated to league one. And even then I got a free ticket.

You mean that you missed all four of your Chelsea and Man U games last season Mr Kes mate?

Got to admire your non-plasticity for that
