Svlad Cjelli Deliberate? Or could he not get out of the way?

Because to me that picture just shows him with his arms in a normal position.

If that's normal you must have some funny shaped arms Dirk!!!

The ball was struck from what 20, maybe 25 yards out wasn't it? Admittedly it came through a crowded penalty box but I don't think there is any argument for it being ball to hand in the circumstances.

The ref got it wrong. Perhaps that was because he couldn't see it through the crowd in the box but either way it should've been a penalty but wasn't given.

It was a lot closer than 25 yards out from my memory!

Agree with the rest though. It was a penalty and a red but the referee must have had an obstructed view. When every single person stands up behind the North Stand goal and screams for a penalty, you know it hit his hand.

Still, luckily HRK's winner means we don't have to fret about it .

Anyone know what the security announcements were during the game something along the lines of "all stewards to there positions" and "The car has left the building" ?

I thought they said "Mr Park has left the building" - had one at Norwich away the other week "Mr Carrow has left the building" - probably a bit of a practice for something or other.

I think you're probably right on the distance, although I remember it looking like it was outside the box by a few yards. Either way, it wasn't an accidental ball to hand he couldn't avoid.

I'll be code for some alert about something. The "has left the building" almost certainly means the alert is over.

At a theatre I used to work in the code for a fire alarm was "Mr Redstart is in the building" - which was a lot less likely to start a panic than an announcement saying "Get ready, there might be a fire in the theatre."

Also what was the point in that EA sports truck outside the North/East corner. Basically a big screen with FIFA being played  as if there is anyone on the planet who hasn't played it - could understand if they where showing off new technology. Seems a very expensive way of advertising EA games.

RoyalBlue BTW was it you who rang BBCRB after the game and mentioned Billy Davies?

Nope - must have been someone else sat in the Upper West.

So if the ref reviews the footage and realises this, can the Preston player get a retrospective red card? I would say yes, because he would have got 1 if the ref had seen it during play.

If the ref couldn't see it, then the lanky assistant idiot on the East Stand should have helped him out! Mind you, he couldn't spot a blatant and persistent shirt pull when it happened just a couple of yards in front of him!

zummerset ^this is what I thought I saw. Perhaps the ref was unsighted I can't remember exactly where he was - pretty poor ref in anycase.

You can see the ref in the picture. Quite unbelievably he is turned away from Zurab (even though Zurab had brought the ball under control and worked his way into space) and is having to twist his head back over his shoulder to see what is happening. He had plenty of time to turn to watch player and ball, so why didn't he?!

They've run the Mr Park drill before, so my son immediately picked up on the drill (or maybe real incident) when the first tannoy for him went out for him. Being a cheery type he announced 'terrorist alert'!

Incidentally my daughter tried to go into the East Stand concourse before Mr Park left the building and was prevented from doing so by a steward who told her she couldn't go in there as there was 'an incident'.

Just seen the Robson-Kanu winner on the BBC website. I originally thought he'd fluked it/shinned it - it's actually a very smart finish.

That's a bit of an exageration there RB. In the photo he looks pretty much square on to the incident, albeit further from the goal. Kishanishvili brought the ball down after an attempted clearance so I'd guess the ref had already started to move away from the area to create space between him and the ball so he wasn't going to interfer with play.

As for the East Stand lino being able to give it. I'm not sure he'd have any kind of decent view of what the ball hit as he should've been pretty much sqaure to the goal-line to give him a view of potential offsides (so in line with the last defender) or the ball crossing the line for a goal.

The ref should've been in a position to see what it hit but sometimes you can't see everything. Personally I think he might've bottled it a bit having not had the best of views and the ball travelling at a hell of a speed. A cock up by the officials yes (one of many on the night) but thankfully not one that ended up influencing the result.

Uh? Maybe you should check your monitor settings! Either that or the ref needs surgery to make sure his head is facing the right direction when he is square on to an incident! Body facing one way (not parallel to the goal line), head facing the other!

Looks like we may have to wait for the extended BBC highlights to see, whether he had to step out of the way.

Take your point on the assistant, although somewhat strange that he might have been in the right position!

The officials' ineptitude did change the game. It fired up team and supporters to push on and get the winner! :D

Take a look at the picture of the incident - Zurab hit the shot and he looks somewhat closer than 20 yards. Still a pen and a red card, though

They should name and shame all fans who leave before the final whistle, not just this Mr Park character.

Next time Mr Park makes an appearance we should sing "Is there a terror drill".
