URZZZZZ dont wanna put a downer on anything but alot of people were excited when pog joined, and look hows thats panned out

Edit: still think pog will score a fair amount in the championship as he will have 10x more service, like anton said, pog cant be blamed as some games last season he never got nothing in terms of service

Indeed, I agree he 'never got nothing'. Most games he missed at least 1 sitter.

As do many quality strikers. Thing is they get presented with a few more opportunities in the game, score one of those and all is forgotten. If Pog had scored from every rare opportunity he got in a game, as some on here seem to expect, he would be the world's deadliest striker.

I cannot recall, in over 40 years of supporting Reading FC, a time when fans of so many other clubs were this openly admiring and/or envious of signings that we have made.

Thank you Anton, TSI and Nigel.

This is the beginning of a new era for Reading FC.

Apparently Royston wants to be a role model for kids (or so he told Nike!). Let's hope he remembers that now he is with us!

Generally, supporters are pretty good judges of a player's ability and when they admire a player of another club that is usually a pretty good sign. Anyway, I am thanking the guys for getting little old Reading admiration that the club hasn't enjoyed previously (I wasn't one of those grateful for the admiration that Madejski's over conservative approach drew from conservative business managers rather than supporters of other clubs).

Sincerely hope that their (and your) admiration isn't misplaced.

Happy days and an uphill struggle

If they do, they're idiots and I hope others around them remind them of that fact.

I'd at least hope we'd START the season in a positive mood and get behind ALL the players.

agreed, but to be fair if he does get a lil boo at first he cant really complain, basically made a plea for clubs to sign him up, refused to sign a new contract, then when he realised noone actually wanted him, and his agent is a twat, then came out with "i wanted to stay all along". imagine if it was feds, would get abused for months lol

taken from another forum and truth unknown.

total barnpot but great ability.

Once at EFC he had absconded from the team hotel in Birmingham and pulled a bird. Took a lift to Liverpool and tried to get his car which was parked at the training ground. This was at 4.40 am New years eve morning , security wouldn't give him his keys as he was mashed so he rang a member of staff to plead with the Gateman!
They called him a cab and he called to a hotel, banged the bird and took a cab back to Birmingham where he was sent home and suspended him for two weeks.

He asked for a hearing with Moyes pleading for clemency and Moyes showed him the cctv - Roy accepted the fine as long as Moyes didn't show the dvd to his wife.

Still love him thou.

I have watched this site for a few years, particularly during transfer windows. I do not care what a few fans say, to have other fans berating their clubs for not being like us reminds me of threads and replies on this site saying exactly the same in the past. How many times in the past did we watch as other teams did the correct business and we appeared to be living in Groundhog Day. It is a good feeling when other competitor clubs start worrying about our transfer policy. In over 100 years, it is the first time.

Agreed. Miserable years whilst we've signed shit only good enough to keep us around the top of the Championship/Bottom of PL and the likes of QPR and Pompey did the real deals.

Kudos for having watched this site and RFC for over 100 years though.
