BBC reporting that their win at Cardiff means Huddersfield are safe.

Either there's something I'm missing, or the BBC are living down to their often piss-poor standards.

Clyde1998 So we need Rotherham to lose tomorrow and Huddersfield to lose to Sheffield United to have any chance of staying up on Monday week.

Not both either.

If Rotherham lose their next two, what Huddersfield do against Sheffield United is irrelevant. We don't have to finish above both of them.

Sorry - yes, either is good enough to keep us alive.

All these permutations are kind of pointless considering Reading need to do something they haven't done since 12th November... win an away game

Its irrelevant now pretty much as 1) we can't score more than one goal a game and 2) we always concede

It's basically done now, even if we won yesterday we'd be needing a win up there

Rotherham are down there because they're also shit, with the pressure off and perhaps wanting to go out with a win in front of their fans, Wigan could well win I think. Honestly on current form I think our best hope is Rotherham losing both games now and we beat a Huddersfield team on the beach after they draw with Sheff U.

Warnock bigging up his players and sounding positive, and good attitude.....what a difference compared to the f*cking shit we have had to put up with from the imposter of a manger we have had to listen to.

BBC editing their live feed to pretend they hadn't said Huddersfield were safe. They just missed this bit.
Summary
Huddersfield move four points clear of relegation zone

Might be best chance of surviving via Rotherham. If they lose today, given they looked pretty safe the other week, would really put the pressure on their last game.

If they lose today, maybe its best Hudds get the point on Thurs as there's no way Hunt will out fox Colin if there's something on the last game for them.

No it isn't, Rotherham are pretty much safe from relegation as their GD is 8 better than Reading so unless Middlesbrough utterly thrash them by 6 or goals or so the chances of Reading getting ahead of them is pretty much impossible.

Not entirely true, if they lose both games and we win, goal difference is irrelevant.

Not really. Even if Rotherham lost both their remaining games 3-0 then Reading would still need to win by 3 goals or better at Huddersfield and to be honest I think most would accept that it'll probably be struggle to even get a shot on target at Huddersfield, let alone bag 3 goals. Still strange things do happen in football so who knows!

Why would 3 goals be needed if the above scenario unfolded? Because Rotherham have also scored 2 more than Reading so Reading would need 3 goals to get ahead on the goals scored value though I have no clue what the next decider is if two teams are level on points, GD, goals scored and head to head (so long as they don't aggregate the head to head scores)

If we won at Huddersfield and Rotherham lost both games, we'd have a point more than them.
