I don't doubt Harte could be good for us but what a bloody joke. An attacking midfielder or striker should have been on the list.

Make no mistake Zurab & Harte were already on their way regardless of Gylfi - they are just used as bait to soften the fans a bit i.e. "look we have re-invested". Yeah right! JM has stitched us up & the deal for Gylfi was done so late BM had no time to source an adequate replacement.

We'd better be dipping into the loan market in a week or so for a forward or I'll be pretty fcuked off.

So if we play 4-5-1 with someone else in Gylfi's position he'll score zero goals?

In the ten games last season and this when Gylfi didn't play we scored 17 goals = 1.7 per game.

in the 43 games where Gylfi DID play we scored 71 goals = 1.488 per game


So YES Gylfi scored goals, BUT AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHERS SCORING GOALS.

Overall we were LESS of a goal-scoring side.

Played centre back a lot last season. But he's always the free-kick, penalty taker and bloody good too. Always had a bullet left foot on him.

Official site says he was playing centre-back for Carlisle. Not sure whether to believe that. Either way yes, I'm sure they were mostly set-pieces.

18 goals was so last season. I'm talking this season - 2 in 4 in the league....I'd say he was on for 20 goals minimum

No one's expecting marquee signings (with the exception of some complete reality deniers) but if the situation remains as it is - selling 6M of talent on top of the other cost cutting player sales and failing to invest, it really is a sh*tty state of affairs.
