Antonio reminds me of Chicken George Lawrence of Oxford,Saints and quite a few other clubs.
He looks like what he is,a trier who has stepped up from non-league and can make a decent living at Div 1 level.
His ball control and awareness IMHO are not good enough for any higher level and if we got £750,000 out of Wednesday for him I think that would be good business and it frees up a space for a better challenger to Jobi and Jimmy than Antonio or HRK,a player who has the physical attributes but to me looks less than mentally strong and doesn't use his physical strength either.

First off, many many congratulations on Wednesday's promotion.
There are VERY VERY few clubs who could pull in 38 000 in for a third tier game. (whatever was at stake)
I think that the world now knows who is really the dominant club up there in the steel city.

Regarding Michail, I think that it's a case of the old Hughie Green talent show,
I don't know how old you are, but just in case that you are younger than me, I can tell you that it was called "opportunity knocks"
The spirit behind the title was based on "when an opportunity knocks on your door, you answer it"
His chances here were limited this season, Next season things won't get any easier, as, be assured, incomers will limit his chances of pitch time even further.
If Michail can become a star at Wednesday, then so be it. Good luck to the lad.
This scenario is not without precedent here.
We off loaded a young player to Swindon, who then proceeded to sell him on to WBA for millions.
He now drives an Aston Martin, and is in the ROI squad for the european championships. Good luck to him.
Maybe Michail's time here has ended, maybe not, but he knows that window of opportunity won't be around for long.
I know what I#d do in his situation.
Good luck in the Championship. See you in the Prem, where we will put 5 past you, like we usually do (wink)

Franchise FC
Jackson Corner Let them have him, he was pooh for us. Any clown can run rings round Wycombes back four.

Mrs F is a Wycombe fan - she'll tell you it's Already Relegated Wycombe as SSN and 5Live said over and over agian at the weekend.

And on that subject,
Already Relegated Wycombe Wanderers
Already Relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers

Bolton had better look out although no W at the start may favour them slightly.
I hope Roy Hodgeson isn't behind this otherwise we may find ourselves welegated as well next season.

Jones said at the town hall last night: “We have made contact with Reading but nobody’s going to make decisions yet. Why should they?

If it was me, and anyone was after my players or I’d got loan players, I wouldn’t make a decision now. Everybody’s got to take stock, see where they’re going and what they can bring in. At the moment it’s about enjoying the occasion.”

not a fan. never have been.

He maybe setting League 1 alight but when he's played in the champ he's looked like a poor mans shaun wright-phillips. I really think that if he's to develop and reach his full potential (champ at best) he needs to move on because he will definitely get games at Sheff Wed. I hope he does well if the club and he decides to part ways.

LOL @ poor man's Wright-Phillips being used as a criticism of Antonio! I'm sure he'd be delighted to be a poorer version of a player who's spent his career at some of the bigger Premier League clubs and played for a top 10 International team.

Could you have chosen a winger less like Antonio in style... I guess they're both quick at least. :|

I suspect decisions will be made after the Thames Sport Investment takeover goes though, Then the transfer fund will determine whether we need to hang on to and develop Antonio out of necessity of whether we can look to add to the squad and strengthen.

I like Antonio. I always have. Wingers are my favourite footballers so I tend to look at them more than most players and Antonio has something there that, if harnessed in the correct fashion, will be the difference between being an average Championship player to playing in the top flight.

That may sound a bit far fetched, but I said the same thing about Jimmy Kebe for a long time...

Newbie here so be gentle! Its quite obvious Antonio has the pace and power to be a useful player at championship level but for me he lacks technical ability required for the prem. I'd say send him back on loan. If we did go down he'd be alright for us

And Shane Long

Is technically poor"

"has the first touch of a rapist"

"isn't a footballer"

"Isn't good enough for the Championship"

Just as well he's playing in the Premiership, then
