When I posted my post, there were no other posts available to read except the OP. Board is still playing up. Bloody thing keeps logging me out as well.

SapperBRoyal We could consider a different point of view, keep the coaching staff on their toes. I think it's a progressive move. Mr Anastasiou has certainly done a decent apprenticeship.

Or at this stage will it confuse people?

Stay with and perfect our own ideas. It typically takes Brian half a season to figure it ll out then we go mad.

Do we really need billy big bollox coming in and dismantling everything?

Use him wisely Brian, but remember you're a top guy yourself. Trust in yourself please.

Well if he helps BMcD to hit the ground running from game 1 rather than waiting until Dec/Jan then it's got to be a help

Just proves what a top bloke Brian is that he always insists we give the other teams a head start

I know it's only until the end of the season but you never know; Reading go down, Brian starts next season poorly, Brian sacked in October, Anastasiou installed as manager.

#Conspiracy theory.

Nice to see us knocking it around nicely yesterday , having an effect already on the training field maybe?

I was thinking that too. We completely changed our style of play yesterday (for the better) but I can't believe he's had this much of an impact already.

We played the same last week as well, I'm going with coincidence, too soon for him to have had a measured impact yet

More solid at the full backs = wingers can get forward to support the front man better = giving the opposition more to think about defensively = more space = more passing

A contributing factor, i'm sure. However, the opposition and the way they play allow us to adapt as the game develops. The real test will come on the 30th with Chelsea and the 4-3-3 system that they now play.

A positive start for Giannis all the same. Long may it continue!

Still too early to gauge whether he has made a huge impact or not, but it certainly seems that the hoof football is slowly being worked out of our sole playing style and our back line is looking stronger and like theyre no longer strangers too.

Next week will be another test for the coaching staff and if we go to Stoke with the 'kick us, and we'll kick you harder' mentality that some teams have been going to the Britannia in recent times - and ending up with egg on their faces, or if we stick to our game of late and Do what we do best by allowing them to have their way for the best part and hitting them on the break and when they least expect it.

I'm certainly hoping for the latter

Welcome Giannis!
