Great - paper thin squad and three of our most offensive players already out....

I suppose if it's to happen best now whilst the window is still open

Brizzle sold out their away end.

We are struggling to fill half the stadium, yet persist in only offering half south stand.

Would be interesting to know if the EFL have picked up on our reduced revenue due to this. Would be surprised if they hadn’t advised us to offer more tickets to away fans.

Would help on the FFP front

There is no chance they would be able to do it now, the chaos it would cause would be unbelievable.

John Smith I'm trying to buy a ticket but am greeted with this bullshit: Your selection leaves the row with single vacant seats that are isolated. Please amend your selection so that other people can find adjacent seats for themselves.

Fück is this?!

They think you’re a cnut?

Everything OK mate?

Just trying to help.

There's no reason to think it's reduced revenue.

We'd sell out more than half the South in only a handful of games, and C1871 is there every match and attracts home fans to the stadium

I for one am delighted we only give half the south stand now to away fans.

Always thought it was a massive boost for an away team to see that entire stand full of their supporters. And reckon the 1871 will be pretty full as well creating a nice atmosphere hopefully

I’d very much agree with you if we could fill the stadium. But we can’t

To Snowflake’s point earlier, I would have thought that the improved atmosphere generated by C1871 would’ve boosted attendances since it’s conception. But it hasn’t

And reduced season ticket and match day prices haven’t worked either. I’m not actually convinced away allocations would be any lower if we bumped up their prices by a fiver.

Ok, in the grand scheme of things, it would only be a small increase in overall revenue. But it would be interesting to know if the EFL have spoken to the club about it or not

How do you know it hasn't boosted attendances?

All we know is what they are and what they were, not would they would have been without. And +300 for 20 games is more than +1000 for 5.

Essentially, at the numbers we're talking, the potential difference is so unclear and has such little financial impact, that it's irrelevant.

Let’s say the average away attendance is 1,500…
1,500 x 23 x £5 = £172,500

Let’s say 6/23 would have sold an extra 1,000 if they had the whole south stand (+ ticket increase)
1,000 x 6 x £25 = £150,000

Ok we’re only talking > £300k which is roughly £6k per week.
But other clubs are doing it, why can’t we?

Also….in the Championship how many sides will want to bring more than 2,100 here anyway?

Admittedly our excellent ticket price is an incentive but other than Bristol “Big Time” City for one of their nearest away games might have brought another 500-1,000 to tonight’s game before any lingering early season optimism has been driven out of them, similar Swansea won’t bring more than 1,500 especially if their season is midtable one. Only clubs you could genuinely see filling 4,000 away seats is West Brom, Fulham, Stoke (if they are having a good season), ditto Cardiff and Boro.

Most clubs will bring about 500 to 1,000….

Same side as Sat with Puscas in for Joao.

No Ejaria still, be nice to know exactly what his injury is, but obviously too much for the local press to do its job
