NathStPaul
YorkshireRoyal99 From what season did you start supporting Reading? 2003/04
What was your favourite season? 2005/06

Hahnemann

Murty
Ingimarsson
Williams
Shorey

Little
Sidwell
Parkinson
Gilkes

Quinn
Kitson

Subs: Hislop, Upson, Harte, Harper, Swift, Doyle, Friday.

Was tempted to put Doyle in with Kitson just because of the partnership really but you can't not have Jimmy Quinn in your side.

You see a lot of Jimmy Quinn in the 2003/04 season?

More to with what my preferred team would be. Unfortunately as I've never seen either him or Parkinson live, obviously I've been made aware of how good they have been, hence why they are in the team.

I'd have included Swift and Doyle if not Parkinson and Quinn.

Kitson and Doyle together aren't as good as Jimmy Quinn. Did you not go to games much in the early 90's?

As it happens I didn’t go to many in the early 90’s. Quinn was a great header of the ball and had a fantastic shot on him but I didn’t see enough of him outside of the lower divisions to include him in the side.

Interesting very few make it into the side from the 2011/12 Championship winning squad.

I was very tempted to include McAnuff and Kebe, it's just hard to justify them over Little and Gilkes. Little was fantastic for us and Gilkes likewise and because of longevity.

I'd toyed with Kaspars Gorkss as well as Adam Le Fondre.

Yep Kebe particularly unlucky and perhaps I should have had him on the bench ahead of Convey. Jobi was a great captain too. Surprising none of us included ALF.

Should really have ALF on the bench. No Kerry Dixon, Neil Webb or Lawrie Sanchez either.

Nah, not having it. Would pick a Gunter when he first joined us every time.

That was the position I had the most trouble with. Almost went three at the back but had to include Harte.

Good team in the last decade or so. McAnuff certainly worthy of a shout. I had a soft spot for Matt Mills as well until he moved on to pastures new. Ali Al Habsi could possibly be on the list instead of McCarthy.

Millsy wot no senior

The best 11 is based on the teams you've seen play, as opposed to a RFC best 11.
