Correct about Cisse, but he looks way out of his depth at this level. While Harper doesn't necessarily win the ball all the time, he knows where the plays going. Cisse doesn't have a clue most of the time and I'd leave him out.

All Harper does is run by the side of players and fail to give his partner in crime an option to pass to when we have the ball. When we're defending he's even worse - it's no coincidence that no matter who's played alongside him this season, we've predominantly looked shit in central midfield and been walked all over. Cisse doesn't look like he has a clue at times because he doesn't know where the hell Harper or our wingers are going to disappear to next - you give him a basic job to do where all he has to do is tackle, break up play and pass the the simple ball and he'll be fine. That is after all what he was doing at Boavista.

Perhaps, though I'm reluctant to set him off in front of Flamini, Fabregas and co.

Flamini's injured...

Don't tell me you want to do a Coppell from last time and give them the whole pitch in the hope they don't score before 70 minutes? The only two times he's properly attacked a top four side, we've got 3 points off of Liverpool at home and very nearly pulled off a result up at Anfield after a superb performance.

Either way, aside from the Arsenal game Coppell still needs to try that central pairing - hell, he's pissed enough points down the drain with Harper in the side so he hasn't got much to lose.

Considering our current squad. I don't think it really matters what team we put out. We will still lose

In fairness, most teams in the world could say that.

Not a bad shout
Shorey needs a (long) break - he was pants again today - worst player on the pitch and DLC has rarely let us down

Although I can't quite believe I'm saying this, I think we need to start with Convey for this one. Never been convinced by him, but seeing him at Newcastle I think he will bring a bit more energy to the team.

We need people on the wings and staying there. If we try to play through the midfield against Arsenal it's going to be a rout IMO.

What does everyone think the excuses will be as to why we won't recall Lita?

I don't know what the excuse will be, but I just can't see him picking Lita. If he did call him back he'd never play him with Kitson and so wouldn't be playing our best two forwards - so it's academic. He could play me upfront - the goal scoring ratio would probably be the same.
