I seem to recall he's said he considers himself a striker (or at least a forward) and wants to play there. Personally, I don't think he would make a great striker, but he could maybe get away in a free role behind a striker. He's certainly got goals, strength, height and control in his locker which could be helpful for it.
When it comes to where a player might be able to play, it's quite subjective and a number of conflicting views can be valid. So it's a bit much for you to think you can tell everyone that you are categorically right that he could never be a good striker and they're wrong to even consider the possibility.
