Yeah,

I wish we'd lost against Southampton too.

When Shane's goal's can save us like Lita's did against Cardiff, and on countless other occasions over the last 2 years, then he will have earnt the right to be our No3 striker ahead of hot shot Leroy.

Remind me of when Lita has saved us in the last 2 years. I can't think of anything spectacular he's done for us in the last year, although it sounds like he's done alright at Norwich.

That was WR's brand of irony. (He doesn't rate Lita.)

enter a new striker no doubt, just hope it is someone with proven quality and not a gamble signing.

still think (once new striker is in) that s.long should go out on loan and s.church can be the 4th striker

Yes. Football is effectively a summer game in the Republic running from March to November. And the standard is similar to division 3.

Well this must mean that Lita is either willing to stay and fight for his place (doubtful) or we have someone in line to replace him

Good move by the club. I didn't realise Stockport were doing so well. They're a side that will make plenty of chances for the big man, a great opportunity for him to get some confidance and fitness.

Coppell did mention something about possibly being in for a striker. I have no idea where I saw that. SSN interview I think.

It's somewhat ironic then that, according to the NOW, Everton are interested in Lita rather than Long!

The idea that Everton,a club historically renowned as one of football science,is now linked with such ball-playing stars as Lita and Hunt.
Following on from another thread the game has certainly moved on.

Has this really happened yet?

Still not appearing on the Beeb's Transfer Talk, and nothing on Stockport's OS.

I dunno, if it takes place in Friar Street on a Friday night then he'd probably be up for ut.

As an aside - there's nothing more exciting in the transfer window than your club being after a striker. Who gives a fook about a left-back.

I dunno if you're being sarcy or not, but I know for one, at the time I gave multiple fooks about which left back we would sign.
We wouldn't be where we are in the table today if it weren't for S Hunt being at the front end of the pitch.

I am wondering if they have delayed it due to the postponement of Stockport's match tonight. No point him being there officially if their first match isn't until Saturday.

I just meant speculation about signing a left-back isn't as exciting as the prospect of acquiring the next goal machine.

Armstrong's been great, no argument there.

Agreed ntil Reading sign Dave Mooney's aunt's second cousin from Longford for £20,000 and told that's the end of the business.
