It looks like we should have Halilovic, Rinomhota, Hoilett and TMac back for Forest. This would make a huge difference and with Rafael and Puscas give us a strong looking bench.

That should make a huge difference. Especially Hal.

assuming the original was tongue in cheek...

but yeah Pauno did the ht team talk, so I'm sure instructing the staff to make the change was not beyond him

Only partly tbf houndy.

I don’t share the optimism around the result, I don’t see us improving under him and I worry about our future.

I share your concerns on the future CR and don't want to sound like an apologist for him. I just think for me my expectation this year is just to stay in the division, before a complete clear out in the summer and god knows what else. I think Pauno has enough to keep us up fairly comfortably, and do so in a reasonably entertaining fashion. And that'll do for me

I don’t think you sound like an apologist, your views are always pretty sound, level and reasoned. (I know I do have a habit of being a bit over zealous at times but hey ho).

I agree with the expectation and I think I even stated at the beginning of the season anything above relegation is a bonus. Since then we’ve recruited some decent players and at times we show we are capable of some good really good football. I know on form over the season we aren’t going down I just can’t shake that feeling that it is likely under Pauno. Again, I really want him to succeed but based on past experiences I don’t know if he has what it takes. The next few weeks will be interesting to see how we get on, and the decisions he makes (or doesn’t make). We’ve had a lot of false dawns but I’d love for us to build on the brum result. It will do wonders for confidence at the very least, unless you’re Puscas of course.. or Moore.

I'm not that fussed where we finish. I'd just like our results curve to flatten, and to see him taking steps, successful or otherwise, to address clear problems in the side. Action is greater than inaction in my book.

He's obviously got something about him to get us playing as well as we do when we play well. But he seems to be pretty terrible at responding to adversity and mostly incapable to do anything about it when we're playing badly, without circumstances conspiring to turn it around for him.

But. I don't, and haven't, see any point in sacking him. Especially when his contract is up at the end of the season. I don't see us recruiting better, and he's shown enough to give him the chance to prove he can't learn lessons over the longer term.

Yeah and hopefully most of the rest of the squad getting a bit of a break as well. Definitely gives us options along with Clarke and Ashcroft getting some decent game time in the last few games. Hopefully Azeez isnt too far away either, and surely Araruna must be fit (whether he is up to champ football may be a different matter)

He certainly was. But that long out who knows.

He'd give us some really good options, if he's fit and close to his previous form.

Him at RB allows Yiadom further forward. Frees up Holmes to enter CB. Offers cover in midfield (wouldn't want him starting there personally)

yeah, he was a useful option. Just wonder if he can recover to be at the level in the near future. Fair play to him if he can, been a nightmare year. I quite liked what I saw originally as a squad option
