Millsy Millwall booing the knee.

Who was it here trying to argue they're not f**king despicable animals?

If someone disagrees with or refuses to ‘Take the knee’, because it is an act symbolic of a dubious, questionable organisation (at best); it does not mean that they are either racist or inhuman (animal).

It may mean they just disagree with taking a knee.

When players used another form of gesture to show their anti-racism credentials, at a Millwall game, one that was not associated with any one or more dubious, questionable organisations; they were roundly applauded.

I think it’s far more important not to be prejudicial (whether sexist, racist or any similar form of ignorance) in everyday dealings with people than it is to virtue signal’ by ‘taking a knee’ and think that you’ve actually achieved anything, at all, whatsoever; which of course, you absolutely haven’t….

Other than making yourself feel better, of course.

What a long dull useless rant. I'm more aware of the race and political issues than you know, don't talk bullshit down at me.

Millwall have a significant core of animals. They're unsurprisingly one of the only group of fans who boo at the knee happening.

It’s not bullshit. It’s spot on and you know it.

Thank you for your well considered critique!!

With due respect, your comments are clearly more representative of a ‘rant’.

And frankly, it’s odd

It’s a desperation to be seen to doing ‘something good’.

It reminds me of the prison scene in the film ‘Midnight Express’ when all the mentally insane inmates walk around in one direction, voluntarily, like sheep, without knowing why!

………and the chaos that erupts amongst them all as our hero ‘Villiam Hayes’ decides to walk in the opposite direction!

Daring to question……

Such free thinkers, parroting the propaganda of alt-right white nationalists that BLM is a marxist organisation (like anyone in Britain should care if it was, which it isn't - we're not yanks with their kneejerk fear of anything labelled socialist, marxist or communist).

Taking issue with individuals who have chosen to take a personal stand by using a globally recognisable symbol of protest for the continued inequality and persecution of racial minorities at he hands of Gov agencies.

Because of course, the right thing for non-ethnic minorities to do in this case is to dictate to ethnic minorities when, where, if and how they're allowed to protest their treatment. Rather than listen to and support them.

Why are you booing the freedom of other people?

If people boo the wearing of the poppy or don't wear the poppy, I assume you would be okay with that decision then?

It's the same shit

Wearing the poppy is ‘the same shit’?

You’re opinions are clearly a product of relativism; thinking that opinions have the same value as facts…

And that all opinions have equal value… and as you describe; equally of no value!

Of course.

If someone does not wish to recognise the sacrifices made by other members of society for the benefit of us all, or does not wish to respect the significance of remembrance, or does not wish to buy something that can raise funds for the rehabilitation those who may have lost limbs or worse as a result of being called upon to serve…..

They are entirely free to choose not to do so.

So why are you so uppity about people bending the knee when that is exactly what Slavery was about, and the continued oppression and racism still received by people today? Seems like you have double standards.

Yes wearing the poppy is the same thing as bending the knee. A gesture made by people because they want to believe in something or remember something.

All prejudgment of a person or groups of people (including prejudgment of white people and men and women etc etc) is just unintelligent destructive nonsense.

And we all know this.

To say that white people represent something in their entirety is in itself prejudicial and racist, just as it would be if the same principle were to be applied to any other group of people.

It is perfectly fine for anyone of any race, sex, creed etc etc, to take the knee, if they choose to…

And it is perfectly fine for others of any race, sex, creed etc to choose not to..

We are free to think and choose.

Thankfully, in our society, it is totally abhorrent to be racist, or sexist or to display any other kind of unintelligent, destructive, unacceptable, medieval behaviour towards others which is why it is illegal to do.

That’s interesting.

You perceive that because I have said that a person is free to choose; that I have double standards….

I hope you are not attempting to say that if a person is against taking the knee; they must be in favour of slavery or be an oppressor or a racist….

Saying such a thing would be conflation bordering on sophistry and would also be deeply insulting because it would be untrue , inaccurate and an example of prejudice.

Possibly because you think all those who don’t think like you, must be ‘bad machines’.

Otherwise we are going down.
