Please god no, this is like a sick joke.

Winning at Anfield was quite a big achievement IMHO, and only in the Plymouth game have we looked like relegation candidates.

Christ.

IMO you can do what you want. I'd rather we just try an support the team an get some points on the table personally. Each to their own.

I think it's more the manner of the team's improvement that has caught Madejski's eye.

West Stand was a simple choice - Didn't want sun in my eyes.
I guess it doesnt make me much of a fan, what with those oh so vocal fans in the East Stand.
You guys do know you can't be heard from the West don't you??? Good vocal support

West Stand Flash Madejski's statement on the appoitment couldn't have been much more tosh if he possibly tried.
What a god awful appointment @ what has become a laughing stock football club.
I'm sure the pathetic RTG's will be happy

RTG probably includes me (on the basis of the fact that i don't react to everything with doom and gloom) so my response is this:

No, I'm not particularly happy (probably an understatement), but I couldn't see anything else happening than this, so the sooner it was confirmed the better. The confirmation of BM as manager makes me no more unhappy - because it was surely always going to happen.

IMO we are in a mess, both on the pitch and off it, but we may well have the capability to drag ourselves out of it.

A decent striker is what we all know we need. Can we find one? I don't know. But I hope so. I'm not going to right off Thorvaldsson yet, but equally even if he comes good he needs a good partner unfortunately none of the other 3 is hitting the back of the net either - so loaning in a pre-made solution in the form of a good striker would seem the best option. But like you I don't see it happening. Which means McD can only persevere in trying to play his strikers into form.

Is McDermott really going to keep us up? How the hell should i know! The only thing I can say is that the way things went with all this, it was never going to be anyone else.

I'm sorry if you couldn't see it coming as well. Perhaps then you wouldn't be ranting about it so much now.

Points per game are worse under McDonut than they were under Rodgers, so yeah I agree

West Stand Flash So your only a fan if you support something you dont agree with?? If thats the case, then yes I'm not a supporter

Just because I'm not a pathetically blinded RTG like you, your 'throwing your toys out'.

Schards#2 = C*ck.

Schards isn't an RTG. He has revealed his own concerns on this board about a number of topics that have proved to be bang on despite what others think. People trying to defend the end of last season, that our strikers are crap and that it will be dull and uninspiring for the forseeable future.

Not that he needs me defending him.

Personally I don't agree with Schards on this rare occasion that McDermott was the best option. He was far from the best option in my view, but the men that matter don't want to invest any money into the club and thus won't pay for a new manager that will probably want his own staff and players. Things that every football club has to pay sometimes for the longer term benefit of the club, but since when does that matter when there is a cheap inferior alternative just waiting to be given a chance. That's the real 'Reading way'.

That's what we're all accustumed too and it's happened for the last 5/6 years not neccesarily with managers but especially with players. That's where Coppell performed miracles because with the complete lack of resources at his disposal he took this club to unchartered territory that he had no right to. Now the realism is kicking in. Lack of investment, lack of ambition and a 2nd relegation in 3 seasons. There is only so much managers can do when they have no support from the big wigs.

Well run club? We're like Del boy and Rodney who build an air shelter just waiting for the entire world to end, but we'll be ok....or will we if we go down again? Welcome Hartlepool and 10,000 for a home game again.

all the hard work, graft , fel good factor and progression of the last 10 years tossed away in just two, to go right back to where we started from. Is that really a 'well run club?'

Actually I could same the same to you, our league form is far worse and unfortunately progressing in the FA cup won't get us points.

There has been no improvement, we are worse.
