Ian Royal Feel free to correct me, but for all his deadly running and skinning of defenders has he actually set up a chance we've put away yet?

Looks spectacular, but seems to lack the final ball and make the wrong choices too mouch still for me. But despite that, with him and Hunt we have drive and excitement and keep defenders off balance. I'll settle for that for now. If he eventually starts actually producing goals either himself or for others I'll be over the moon.

Here's a thought. Maybe, just maybe his running and skill is doing enought to free other players up to deliver the goals. It is painfully clear to me that the Palace defence was petrified of him today, and that meant they have to keep players on him at all times (not that that stopped him from getting through them).

I look forward to him getting better at decision making, he already has the ability to split defences wide open.

You know I think I may have thought of that.

He is mine. :P

He has so much pace it is frightening, ok he needs to play the correct ball or shoot when through on goal but that costs a lot money in the real world so at this price he is looking good.

The biggest plus for me today was Kebe's positioning during the game, he is learning that it is a team game but then again shoot you motha.

Well played Jimmy.

It makes me feel very smug to see all those negative doom mongers who dismissed him as poor before they ever gave him a chance silenced. Improve his decision making and he will be class act, he had Palace on toast today.

'greed

But I have noticed that his final ball is getting better every game he plays.

I will put my hands up.

I thought we had purchased a load of old tosh. He was less than convincing last season when making cameo performances here and there and personally I was less than impressed.
However from what I have seen of him this season, he has the making of a legend and is much improved. Plymouth and now Palace I thought he was excellent.
He is going to terrorise Championship defences this season and will be a great asset to the team.

It will be interesting to see how he copes away from home against some of the Northern cloggers in the wet and cold, when a bit of bite is required.

Today, it seemed he played for the team ball rather than having a go for himself.

He is still raw but the coaching is working and he will only improve.

The posters who said he was a sunday league player are probably hoping he gets transferred soon. 8)

What Kebe does well is when he gets the ball he holds up the play a bit and then suddenly uses a burst of pace to get round the defender. Seems to be working so I have no complaints.

Agreed...its no surprise to some of us that he is doing damage.....his pace is going to come as a bit of a shock to some defences this season...funny how his many detractors who were so keen on shipping him off have gone a bit quiet now.

Another good signing who's managed to keep the "early doubters" quiet. Will be a key player for us this season.

Credit should go to our scouts for spotting him.

They have come in for some critisism recently, but they have spotted both Kebe and Marek, both of whom were playing in less fashionable leagues.

Brian and Nick(y) I salute you.

Fair play to him, he's gone a long way to answering his critics. He seems to have mostly removed the aspect of his game that had me (and others probably) worried. You know, the bit where he'd skin 3 people and then fall over the ball, or just not take it with him, or walk straight into a defender after an amazing bit of skill.

More than anything I think his flair is important for us. It excites the crowd, it worries the opposition and it gives us an energy and vigour in attack that has been missing a long time. Combined with Hunt that works well. He needs to perform consistantly though. It's still early days and he could do with getting some assists(better crossing?) and a goal or two.

Every team needs a player to create a goal scoring chance.

A team can be brilliant but at the end of the day it is all down to how many goal scoring opportunities they create in 90mins.

TBF to Kebe, he did set up Hunt N with a glorious chance today.

And but for the ref should have scored himself, by all accounts. I still make it 0 assists, 0 goals. But hopefully we'll see that change now one of the strikers has remembered what a goal is. Bit reliant on corners at the mo, although we get plenty.

One of the corners which set up the goals was made by Kebe BTW.
