Huntley & Palmer Because as always with Cup draws we get no luck. We have had relatively small fry teams for many a year in both the League and FA Cups and then, whammo, Utd and Liverpool in one season.

Have you considered that this just might have something to do with the fact that we've gone further in the Cups than we usually do?

Not really, I think any Premiership team in any round of the Cup this season would have been a disappointment.

 So you wouldn't even expect to meet Chelsea, Arsenal or Man Utd in the final ?

Yeah.
Even so, we'd have to be lucky not to meet those sides on the way.

Millwall didn't even face a Prem side until the Final that year.

A Premiership side, fair enough. Either of Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal was still pretty unlucky though, especially as Arsenal have to play a replay at Bolton. It's just disappointing

Royal Rother
Huntley & Palmer I am officially still hacked off with this draw, in fact the two Reading fans here in the office share the same view.

All the football fans in my office agree it's a fine draw for Reading. But then they are accountants so have a broader understanding of what the game is about.

Like yourself though, they probably never go.

Do you not have any sort of excitement level for the Cup then? Surely you can't be utterly pleased at the prospect of facing Utd on their current form? Had this been a fixture handed to us last season, people would be camping outside the ticket office now. This season, it's just a bit of a pain, expectation levels of matches change. You know you wouldn't have caught me looking to get Plymouth or Ipswich away before, but the chance to go to a ground where we know we can win is a bit better than going to one where only Arsenal have won.

I'm completely with you H&P. I seriously thought we could do well in this competition if we could have just avoided Man U and Arsenal for a couple more rounds. Even ¢he£$ea would have been better. Ah well, you never know, we might put in a storming performance and shock everyone, including most of us fans.

Glad it's that time and not a lunchtime kick off. 35 quid a ticket.

Both the cost (£35 poss a bit much) and the TV coverage will effect the numbers we take.

I notice we get £265,000 for being on the TV. That's Bennett's transfer pretty much paid for.

Hopefully we can take at least 3,000. And as it kicks off at 5.15 that leaves plenty of time for the pub before the game!

£35, that's a joke. That's more than Pompey paid!

That's made my decision then, my ticket is for sale.

Twas £36 for the game a few weeks ago.

I thought they might charge £20.

£35 for a live game plus travelling etc from a team we have just played!!!!!

Looks like a few beers down the pub watching it on Telly for me then.

Aye, was thinking of going if it had been a bit cheaper but have too much on in the near future to justify spending the best part of £100 on a televised game.

I'm swaying towards doing the same thing. A stand full of day-trippers, and the "pleasure?" of paying £35 plus train/food/drink costs leaves me with a bit of a bitter taste.
