Dirk Gently I hate to buck the trend, but I'mnot going to sign in until I've seen a good perfromance away from home.

I have a nasty feeling that he may not travel well, so I'll reserve judgement until that day.

'greed
there are definately areas for improvement
that being one.

but i am only gloating towards those who said he wasnt a footballer "at all" at the mo

He was certainly poor at Forest, but I think that was day 1 nerves more than anything else. He has improved since then, even at Charlton where most were poor.

He's quicker than Ronaldo, in fact, he's quicker than everyone. http://www.readingfc.premiumtv.co.uk/pa ... 14,00.html

LOL @ those who keep saying his final ball isn't perfect.

Of course it bloody isn't, if it was he would be at a much bigger club.

Hunt's final ball is crap, yet everyone raves about him.

With a bit of work I reckon we should be able to improve Kebe's game so that he becomes something very special. That will take a bit of time but would like to think by xmas we would be seeing definite improvements (but not too much so that some little Premiership side decides to try it on in January).

Whether that something special is better than an average Premiership right winger who knows but if he can get to be half as good as Ronaldo we're onto something.

Be interesting to know what the management's take is on each players weaknesses and what they expect to see from them by way of improvements this season.

Scarface
seahawk10 Yes his finishing needs some work

So does his crossing, passing, control, strength, awareness and tracking back. Anything else that needs work ?

A couple of fancy runs each match is not good enough, plus he needs to start turning up for away games.

Actually, if his couple of fancy runs provide goals then I'll take JUST that in every game. In fact I'LL do the tracking back for him.
(This is no different to the muppet saying that Doyle was crap on Saturday except for the three goals)

About £67m from Man City is my guess.

I remember Dave Kitson's air shot from two yards at Preston in one of his first games for us!

I assume you are joking. S.Hunt has 3 league assists and 2 cup assist already (better rate than Shorey in either of the last two seasons) and I think I am right in saying all 5 assist were from corners. Not bad if he is rubbish at taking them.

By final ball I'm not referring to corners.

did kebe give the ball away once on saturday?

not sure he did, his passes were spot on including unselfishly setting noel hunt up only for him to snatch a shot into the keeper....but we all love him.......

Nothing I saw yesterday has made me want to change this assessment.

I don't understand why he can do it at home, but not away.

What is it that makes so much difference and what can be done about it?

He can only do his stuff if he gets the ball. Our midfield aint strong enough atm, I'm not a big Gunnar fan but if we get him in just for away games I will be happy.

It may just be his state of mind or something like that - that's not unknown and I think Spurs fans used to say the same about Berbatov - there are just some players who don't perform as well away from home.

But it may just be that when we're away teams attack us more and so he gets fewer chances, or we may play in a slightly more defensive way.

Alex Ferguson called Glen Little "the best crosser of the ball in the league", quite something. However, it took Little years to a big club, and even then it was only Pompey  .

hes a homer

but then so is harps at the minute, and a fair few others

the away problem can only be tactical/personnell or psychological in my eyes or a bit of both

whatever it is needs sorting, a good win on tuesday wont cover up the away problems
