Ian Royal Reading fans haven't been fleeced of £3m for tickets for next season that was supposed to buy them the players to promote them only to see it spent on a tax bill they'd been promised was not a problem.
Reading fans haven't seen their club bought by someone out to make money who's loaded the club with debt.
Our complaints are on the pitch, and frustration that Madejski isn't willing to risk throwing his money at a problem. Those two examples are incomparable to our situation, which is something I hope that the majority of fans are quite capable of recognising.
We were promised previous seasons that our ridiculous season ticket prices would be used to help us be competitive in the transfer market....it wasn't and we weren't. Our season ticket prices are amongst the highest in the division and our net spend on players this season amongst the lowest. Thats not acceptable.
Its also not acceptable for a club in the prem two years ago to be in the relegation places in the championship due to poorly run finances by the hierarchy which made any task for its team manager almost impossible due to ridding the squad of most of its better players. Even if 2/3 wanted to go. Why build brick by brick then knock down with a sledge hammer?
Madejski will see what the fans think of his management of the club when season tickets are down 3/4k next season ( in the championship) and probably even more if we get relegated.
