Fordham retweeted a comment by a journalist from up that way. Reckons that Cov, Watford, Sheff Weds and Reading are all interested in the £500k rated striker.

He's only rated at £500k?
I thought he'd be more expensive than that.
Go for it!

Coventry reputedly bid 500K a few weeks back and the offer was declined as Rotherham want 1.5M - so he is well out of our price bracket.

In fact any striker who will cost more than a packet of crisps is outside our price range.

Rotherham chairman quoted as saying someone will have to pay ‘north of half a million’ for him. I'd say the figure is going to be closer to £750k than £1m+.

Jokes apart - I am not sure RFC should pay as much as that. I think there is a strong liklihood that Le Fondre will not be able to step up. In fact Manset looks far more likley to IMO and he was a snip at 300K. I would rather we brought in a couple of unproven youngsters than pay 750K or more for Le Fondre - who might well turn out to be no better than we have already.

I'm not even sure that he's worth £750.000, so for me this is a no go.
£1.5 million.......no chance.

Alf is quality player would be happy with this. Always seems to be banging them in on the football league highlights.

At £500k-£750k would be a valuable asset and one the club could still turn a profit on.

the prem players are just waiting to see whether they are going to included in the squads, especially with the new home grown rules. Doesn't the loan market close then re-open in September? If so i think this is when we will pounce

Another tweet from Jonny Fordham. McDermott confirms we have no interest in Le Fondre.
