floyd__streete A lot of people tipping Reading to finish higher that last season's 5th

This is confusing me also. Personally I do not think us swimming or sinking will be directly related to Long's future with or without us.

Getting Brighton in the playoffs would be excellent though...

I almost agree with his top 6, with the exception of Reading and boro.

I dont know, but I cannot see Reading getting into the playoffs again without Long.

If Long stays - Reading will come close, yes. But everyone on here is saying he will be off, and if no replacement brought in then I predict 10-14th. And that is being optomistic.

I'm not doubting that McDermott can do the same with Manset and Church. This time last year, fans were sick and tired of a striker who couldn't head, pass, had the 1st touch of a rapist, the list goes on. But McDermott seemed to grrom Long into a decent player. The previous season Church actually looked like he had more to his game, plus more goals that season- if McDermott instills some confidence, he could be a very decent striker

Reading 6th. Don't care about the others and neither should you.

Not a prediction, but a statement of expectations. We've been a top 30 team for nine straight years and there's no reason not to make that a decade::

11th or lower: failure
7th-10th: disappointing but not a cause for despair
5th/6th: good, we made it to the dance
3rd/4th: great, once again we're one of the best teams in the Championship
1st/2nd: unbelievable

Prediction: somewhere from 5t to 8th. For the record, 6th.

There really should be some sort of test to pass before you're allowed to start threads.
