I'm excited that we'll be playing an exciting season when where we may do well. And the prize is bigger than any prize we could realistically get in the Prem. Obviously would rather be in the Prem but of course the Championship is exciting. We're still enjoying good times with RFC and long may it continue!

I dont know if excited is the right word to use, but yes I feel that the club is much more comfortable in the Championship, the Premiership frightened the life out of the money side of the Royals, so yep the championship will be good at least we will win games ?? as for getting back to the holy grail of league football, I dont think so if the qoute in the EP from the chairman is anything to go by Madejski added: “Hopefully we’ll get there as soon as we can so they can indulge themselves (billionaires) by paying monstrously paid players.

“But I think we’ll be all right (financially) for the time being in the Championship

doesn't sound to me like much ambition to get back there ??

and I wonder when we will do our buisiness this season in the summer or will it be the "we will go with what we have got till January" and in January...........................well we have been here before I think ??????????

There is something deeply hypocritical about a surely pro- free market businessman like Mr Mad continuing to whinge about what are effectively market forces and I wish he'd just shut up about it.

Chelsea's success hasn't had an awful lot to do with market forces.

I'm looking forward to it, but certainly not over-exuberant.

It's worth remembering that during our last Championship season, after the first 19 games we'd won 13, drawn 5 and lost 1, and we were still not top of the table.

Let's hope we get a good start, otherwise all this positivity could come back to haunt us.

Agreed. The Championship is a hard league to get out of.

Watching England last night reminded me of one thing I really missed from the Championship........

Multi-ball.

Speads the game up, and last night totally confused Ashley 'thicky' Cole.

The only easy league to get out of is the Premier League IMO. And that's through the trapdoor.
