Probably Wolves for me, they seem to have stopped throwing money at the problem and have a very useful squad with some damn impressive attacking options. If we can finish above both them and Brum we'll definitely be back in the Premiership so let's hope Doyle, Harper and SHunt can get their 110% commitment heads back on....

What?

Harper scored and Doyle got a Hat-trick in the last match...
'Get their 110% commitment heads back on?'

When did they lose their commitment on the pitch?

Dirk Gently Just because Brum have started well is no guarantee of anything.

Never forget that in 2005/066 Sheffield United started like a train, and it wasn't until we beat them on 1st October (after 12 matches) that we went top, above them. In the end we finished 16 points ahead of them.

I hate to be picky but I thought we did not go top until we beat Ipswich at the end of November?

You may well be right - my memory may well be playing tricks. But even more it reinforces my point - Birmingham may be winning lots now but there's a long long way to go!

You are spot on. We went top on 22nd November after beating Ipswich 3-0 away having played 20 games and we were never overtaken again.
On the other hand if you want to be really picky we were top after 4 games!

Definately Wolves... Even if their defence is average their attacking force well makes up for it.

I'm not jealous of anyone at all. Why would i be envy of Brum or Wolves or the other petty PL wannabes?

Birmingham, Wolves, Charlton - for their quality.
QPR & Derby for their wealth.

Still, RFC for life. :)

Possibly Birmingham. Have only just noticed that they are at the Madjeski in the final game of the season. I can just imagine the scenario that the winner of that game, or Brum if it's a draw, will take the second automatic promotion spot behind Wolves.

Wolves have started the season well, but I don't think they'll get automatic promotion this season. When the going gets tough, they'll flounder. Watch this space.

Where have we heard that before? I seem to remember there was a team who used to collapse in the second half of the season after doing well. One year they did brilliantly and everyone said they'd collapse, but they didn't and won promotion. Can't remember who that was though.
