RG30 Here's a thought. Pre-season clashes with the Olympics which has rammed up prices everywhere. No foreign teams as far as I am aware are having pre-season tours in the UK (happy to be proved wrong). Furthermore I suspect most football clubs based in London have been asked not to schedule matches in the capital because of the Olympics which could be a reason why we are hosting Palace. Ultimately it doesn't matter if we win all our games or lose all our games as the only result that matters is that on the opening weekend of the season.

Royal Prince Fcuk me, any Palace fan (or indeed any other fan of a Championship club) must be reading this and thinking they've logged on to the West Ham forum! Yes we won the league, yes we are now a Prem side, but that doesn't mean we'll walk a friendly against a Championship side and moreover it certainly doesn't mean that we won't be tested.

Kebe Cummings Maxim (co-owner of Bournemouth) and Anton have had a lunch and decide to arrange the friendly. Next season plans is to arrange pre-season “Russian” cup among Reading, Chelsea, Bournemouth and potentially Arsenal. Harts could be involved as well.
