bcubedLinden Jones' Tashrhroyal Lets be honest; Harte being dropped for those couple of games seems to reinvigorated him, given him a point to prove and made him play for his place in the team. It was the right decision and we were right to call for it when we did.
Kudos to McDermott for an excellent piece of man management; kudos to Harte for a good attitude and coming back stronger.
This really isn't a thread on which to ridicule people several weeks on. Who knows how Harte would be doing had he kept his place in the team and kept the feeling of security and comfort.

I agree with this sentiment actually - and on a general point Brian does seem to have a knack of dropping players and getting them to come back stronger/better, ie the dropping actually works, see Pearce, Harte, Howard recently as examples...(does Cummings count?)
To be controversial, maybe Jobi would benefit from it, his output is limited in my opinion, at the moment
Not particularly wanting to bring Snowball back into this debate but I wonder what jobi's stats tell us
Since a guy at work who is a Watford fan told me they were glad to see him go because he didn't score enough or get enough assists I have been watching him more critically. I have to say IMO he more often than not flatters to deceive with a mazy run but the final product is lacking. I think BM is keeping him in on loyalty grounds at the moment. HRK has looked impressive in every game recently and must be close to at start
By my reckoning, league only and not including yesterday...
Assists:
Long - 8
Hunt - 6
Howard - 6
McAnuff - 6
Kebe - 4
Karacan - 4
Involved in build up to goal (not including assists, does include winning pens, but not winning free kicks):
Long - 10
Howard - 8
McAnuff - 8
Kebe - 6
Harte - 6
Karacan - 5
Hunt - 4
Goals:
Long - 20
Harte - 8
Hunt - 8
Kebe - 7
-/-
McAnuff - 3
Once the season's finished I'll post up something a bit more comprehensive. And I'll go over my figures before doing so.
