I'm all for entertaining football however;

3 appearances at Wembley
9 goals for
9 goals against

Just a scrappy 1-0 win will do me next time!

I'm on day 2 of my hangover and still haven't got my voice back properly.

Also being in an office full of people who were there as neutrals isn't helping much. Lots of playoff final paraphernalia lying around. Few nice compliments - "the press box was almost shaking when your second goal went it", "one of the best atmosphere's at a game I've seen" etc etc which is nice, but still a while off recovery yet.

Also it's Hunt's follow up rather than Karacen's post that is killing me. Just lift it son, lift it....

I don't blame Hunt for that. It was great defending by Monk as well. Its the needless giving away of penalties that has riled me.

All of the above have been directed at me at one time or another I believe. I think @rsetart was Susieroyal's though.

It took a few years and a couple of promotions for the pain of Cardiff to subside (plus the fact that it was overtaken by the pain of relegation from the premiership!). I'm not expecting anything different this time round. At least it'll take my mind off Burnley.... :|

My pain stopped fairly quickly tbh. I went with absolutely no expectations so was able to enjoy the build up a lot more than previously. Sure, I was nervous as Gary Glitter in a creche but once in the ground as excited as everyone else. About 10 pints later also helped. I can strongly recommend the White Hart next to Liverpool Street 8) Great choice of real ale.

Ask me about Walsall and that still hurts as my expectation levels were so much higher. You know? The older I get the easier it is to take defeat.

Terminal Boardom Sure, I was nervous as Gary Glitter in a creche.

Surely it would be the children who would be nervous.

It's only going to get worse as our team is slowly sold off.

I'm disappointed more than hurting now. I've accepted the fact we lost, we defended poorly and giving a side a 3-0 lead at half time is never a good thing. But I went in to the game with us as underdogs, so was more prepared for us to lose, although I was giving it everything for the boys during the game. Bolton took me a long time to get over, mainly because I was 11 and hadn't been to many games, so, as you do at that age, believed we were invincible. Walsall was a different story, we were the better side, we should have won the game, so that one hurt a lot too, the thoughts of "what should have been", rather than "what if".

Like many have mentioned, that moment when Jem hit the post is the moment that plays over and over again in my mind, and the moment I mention to everyone who asks about the game. We were right behind the line of it (albeit top tier) but had it just been two inches to the left...

Hope is the most hateful emotion for a football fan to have, especially that of the rekindled variety.

I have just watched the highlights....

Apart from their goals, Swansea didn't have a chance on goal

How didn't Long score in the first half
If only Hunt had dinked his shot
Griffin really didn't need to make the challenge for the 4th

We really did look the more dangerous :x :(
