I think it's fair to say in general that youth football is the time to push the boundaries of your skill and develop yourself, be it U18s or U21s. Presumably you just want a youth squad full of cloggers for defenders who's only passing ability is to punt a ball 60 yards.
Lots of our breaks have come from intricate passing from deep opening up space. I'm not sure you really understand the learning process or the point of academy football.
