Half time 0-0, Gunnar on for harper, Cisse and Murts looking good Doyle needs a goal three missed chances including pen and his head is dropping.

Stack has played out of his skin and Long is full of running, good open game with lots of chances at both ends, oh and Baros looks so different with a skin head :-)

Smoking Kills Dancing Doe I don't know why they let Hunt take free kicks, they always end up like that.

Goldborne looks alright, good going forward, needs to work on his defence though...

Doyle as had a couple of decent chances, really not looking sharp yet, but its understandable, Cisse looks pretty good, and young Long looks like he is progressing the right way.
as for Lyon, alot of pretty football up to the edge of the box, but as yet no penetration, I can see us sneaking this 1-0

Much better first half than last time.

Centre Mid's really not in the game, can't even recall Bryn touching it since he came on. Cisse looks like he could become a decent defensive mid, we are crying out for quality on the ball though.

Back 4 look solid as ever and Bikey improves with every game these days.

Doyle and Long have worked hard, but with the lack of creativity in centre mid haven't had many if any real chances.

Milan Baros and Abdul Kader Keita get us underway.1 mins - The first attack almost creates an opening for Reading. Cisse chips a delicate ball over the top fpor Long to run onto but the French keeper races out to claim.

2 mins - A flare has been lit behind Graham Stack and as Lyon attack the Royals' penalty box we can't see what is happening. Stack ends up with the ball as the smoke clears.

3 mins - Anthony Mounier drives forward and before Cisse can get back he has unleashed a shot from the edge of the box but it sails high over the bar without troubling Stack.4 mins - Nadir Belhadj collects a neat one-two just inside the right side of the box and he hits it first time. It is dragged wide of the far post though on a slick surface.

5 mins - PENALTY! Reveillere is wrestling with Kevin Doyle for the ball inside Lyon's box and Doyle seems to be dragged to the ground. Penalty! There are few complaints and Doyle grabs the ball. He places it on the spot but scuffs his 12-yarder to allow Remy Vercoutre to save to his right. Long is following it up but he trips before he gets to it and misses his kick completely. A chance is wasted.

7 mins - Reading have settled well and are playing good football.A cross comes in from the left and it's recycled by Doyle. The ball is stood up into the middle again where Cisse in an advanced position heads downwards towards the far post. Vercoutre is well behind it but a good position from the Royals' new midfielder.

11 mins - Cisse is impressing in the early stages. He dummies his marker, takes a couple of strides forward before bending aball into Stephen Hunt's path with the outside of his boot. Excellent work, but Hunt's cross is gathered by Vercoutre.

14 mins - Keita turns Duberry easily and draws Bikey to him. The Royals are short at the back as his low cross comes into the box and Golbourne slides in with Baros. Both miss it but it falls to Mounier at the far post. He is unmarked and hits it first time. Stack saves well with his body and punces on the loose ball. Danger for the Royals though.

16 mins - Murty dinks a ball in for Doyle who is free inside the box. He has time and space to fire it goalwards but he delays too long and a defender gets back to block his eventual effort. A great chance goes begging.

18 mins - This is a great game. Very open and with plenty of chances so far. Reading have had more chances in front of goal than in the entireity of the game against River Plate.

19 mins - It's end to end. The lively Keita breaks and bears down on Harper filling in at right back. He gets an inch to shoot and does so but Stack is down well to save comfortably.

22 mins - Scott Golbourne's delivery is good from the left and Long rises but can't direct a header towards goal. Cox tries an effort off balance but it flies high into the stands.

24 mins - Doyle nips in to make something of Hunt's low cross. He battles for possession and gets it, but he swivels to shoot from a narrow angle and skews it high over the bar. Another decent chance engineered but the game remains goalless.

26 mins - James Harper has been hurt in a collision and is streaming blood from his head. Jon Fearn is signalling for a substitution but the doctor is looking at the wound and trying to mop up the blood. Gunnarsson is ready to come on but Harper is bandaged up and looking to return.

27 mins - While with only 10 men, Lyon win a corner, which is fizzed into the near post, Mounier and Murty meet it but it deflects just wide of the right upright.

28 mins -Reading substitution. Harper is forced to concede his wound is too deep and Gunnarsson is brought on.

33 mins - Doyle wins a free kick 30 yards out on the left. Cox comes across to deliver an inswinger. It's over everyone but Vercoutre has to dive to his right to be sure it doesn't drift inside his far post. It skids just wide.

38 mins - Keita is Lyon's main threat, He has pace and ability and latches onto a ball from midfield to shoot early at Stack's goal. Stack is down well to his left but it's going yards wide so the Royals keeper isn't required to make a stop

.41 mins - Doyle is pushed in the back trying to collect an aerial ball and he wins a free kick. Hunt lines it up but his curling 25-yarder flies well over the bar.

43 mins - Lyon are doing more of the pressing in the dying stages of the half. Mounier makes a great run from the left and his effort is blocked by Duberry. It falls to Keita though and countless Royals bodies look to close him down. He still gets away a shot which is deflected but Stack slides to cover his goal despite it bobbling wide

.HALF TIME -Cisse is booked for a high foot. It seems harsh. The referee blows for half time soon after. A very entertaining game with chances at both ends but the game remains goalless.

There are a variety of mascots dressed as branded drinks, who are chasing our substitutes and completely interrupting their half-time kick about. Hal Robson-Kanu is having to run away from a life size beer bottle.

pandora.tv seems to be working ok (unlike the River Plate game)

Took a long time to install downloads, but picture and commentary uninterrupted throughout first half.

Reading need to win if the games remain as they are, to have any chance of progressing into the final.
