handbags_harris greenbloodedgirl Toon Toon Blue army PLYMOUTH, FU*KING PLYMOUTH. If we lost 4-1 to Newcastle it would be bad, but fu*king Plymouth FFS. You complete useless bunch of cu*ts. All of you. Fu*k off.
Lol. It's hilarious. We beat you 4-1, and you still refuse to see that you are no longer 'bigger' or 'better' than us anymore in any way that matters.
All these teams going on about the likes of Plymouth, etc etc. Just because you were in the Premier League...well you aren't there anymore, so stop being so disrespectful to all the teams around you on the way down...because you're not the team you once were, and without someone to bankroll new signings, it's going to be a long struggle back.
I don't have anything against Reading supporters, I work with them day in day out. Nothing against you except for the big I am from you lot when you just aren't anymore....you are where you are because you havent picked up many points, like us, for whatever reason - be it luck, or a poor team, or poor performances....but points are all that matters - not what you were...
See you at the Madejski!

I don't see that being "disrespectful" per se, it's more a sign of massive frustration that all Reading fans feel because we know that Reading could, and probably should, still be in the Premier League. The reason we aren't is because of the distinct lack of investment in the playing side when it was required. We know where we were just over two years ago - a pretty decent team which had reached it's peak, and one which was infinitely better than anything the Championship could offer as almost the same team proved when we gained the 106 points. We didn't invest, and since then the lack of investment has driven us downwards very very quickly to a point (so far) where we find ourselves losing 4-1 at Home Park. It's not a billy big bollocks attitude, it's reality hitting that we were progressing in the right direction as a club and it has all gone to waste. We may not be in the big time any more, but it's the frustration of going downhill so quickly that gets to people, and it would have shown in the same light had we lost to smaller clubs like Scunthorpe, or much larger clubs like Sheffield Wednesday.
I also think it's the fact that we got absolutely spanked by a side that had one home win to their name all season, one goal in their previous six games, and had only scored twice in a match three times all season. Reverse the positions, I'm sure a Plymouth fan would feel pretty pissed off as well.
I can understand what you are saying...but what is it with fans expecting more and more money to be pumped into a club? When we were under Holloway we had Ebanks-Blake, a 20 goal a season striker in the championship, Halmosi, Norris, Buzsaky, Gosling, Connolly...If we could have held onto all our players and bought just one or two more decent signings, we could have been in playoff contention...but we didn't - we sold our best players, as always to keep the club in the black...(incidentally, thanks to spending by Holloway, failed signings and falling attendances, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore...). That is how it always is and we get on with it....obviously that gets more and more frustrating, but the whole sport is going into meltdown with the ridiculous wages and transfer fees etc.
Your team has changed so much, it's nowhere near as strong as it was, and that must be frustrating. I think you also owe a lot to Coppell, as I'm sure you know. He is a class manager, and if things didn't work with Mariner, and there was even a possibilty of getting him at Home Park I would snap him up!
It's not just banter though, it is so tiring having people slagging off my team

Yes we haven't been in the Premier League, but probably that is more to do with limited spending and trying to do things the 'right way', where sometimes it is the risks that pay off. Our entire team can cost the same as one or two players from other big clubs.
Incidentally the year you won the league with 102 points, we beat you at home on the first game of the season. I was there. It was a fantastic experience.
I believe you lost only one other match that year - to Luton.
I'm sure you will have enough to pull away and maybe next year you can kick on and bring in some new players in the summer, and start rebuilding....
It's just a shame Madesjki doesn't seem to have his heart in it anymore..
