Cardiff (A) Match thread - Sponsered by M4 toll

Not sure why Williams is on the bench if he's not fit enough to start, if he is then we should be lining up with 3 in midfield. Happy that Piazon isn't here.

Piazon probably isn't there because there's 5 loans in the starting XI already.

4-4-2, or 4-3-3 with Vydra playing behind Sa? I feel we played better with the latter (although that was with HRK and a different midfield).

Pleased that Fernandez is starting, I think he and Norwood compliment each other - both can find a player with a pass and are clever player - unlike Williams

Williams looked pretty inaffective over the last two games. Fernandez had something about him against Huddersfield.

Not enthused by the line up. The back 5 is obviously fine, although I'm not keen on Clarke's chopping and changing at left back. Either stick with Obita, or give Taylor a proper run of three or four games on the bounce.

So we're either sticking with the shitty 4-4-2 that was dire against Huddersfield first half, with slightly different personnel, or we're going with a 4-3-3 come 4-2-4 that's light in midfield and hasn't really worked effectively since before Charlton.

I hope this is a blip and I know we've injuries, but I'm getting nervous that maybe the run from Brentford to Boro was the blip and Clarke is returning to last season's fare. He did a really good job over the summer with recruitment, but I'd really rather not get my optimism burnt twice by the same manager within twelve months.

Hector does realise that he's allowed to challenge Jones in the air?

It's a 4-2-3-1 with John left, Blackman right, and Vydra behind Sa.

Ps. Calm down

I think Vydra's playing pretty much up there, so 4-4-2, IMO. Not going to get the best out of Blackman, but hopefully he's on fire enough it doesn't matter.

He was caught offside earlier so maybe he's playing the lone (or even loan?) striker role? We are going to miss McShane's aerial prowess today I fear!

Just going by Charles Watts' observations who is at the game.

Birmingham, the only team we can overhaul today, are ahead, 0 - 2, at Fulham!

Watching the stream it does look like a front two. Bit of a shit match so far. Blackman just popped up on the left wing, are him and John switching?

That's because Fullham, who put 4 past us, aren't very good.

Or like Huddersfield, who we couldn't beat at home, got thumped 0 - 3 at home to Leeds today?
