Back from the match

by Farnborough Royal » 07 Apr 2007 18:23

A whole half an hour ago, look at me!

Anyways, good performance today and a draw would have been a fairer result.

Liverpool fans were poor today. Some sitting down, lots of replica shirts and very quiet until they went 2-1 up.

Oh well, roll on Monday 8)

And yes. But the lino was crap throughout the game. In the first half, I thought he was a Liverpool lino, but he was just crap.

It's a modern thing, In the past Liverpool supporters didn't wear replica shirts because JJB Sports down south never sold them.

I have to say, Liverpool were shocking, They played like a dirty European team which probably explains why they do so well in Europe. Not Premiership winners standard by any means.

Can't believe we lost that, we played brilliant. Thought our wing play was excellent. MOTM goes to Hunt.

Liverpool fans were awful. What was happening in Y25 after they scored their second goal?

Likewise - I have only ever worn my Reading shirt in two places. When playing football and when watching football. Quite what is so offensive about them I don't understand.

It was poor defending for liverpool's second goal but I don't want to be too critical as we took liverpool on and gave them a proper game today. They were lucky that header hit the bar. A couple of lads above me were gloating when the final whistle went. I could take it if they were scousers but they were quite clearly locals and it was probably the only time they have been to watch them play. Can't stand it when people claim to be supporters of any of 'the big four' when most of the time they watch from their armchair

Liverpool fans once again showing their obsession with Man United with a rather tacky home made banner

Deserved a draw but thought we were poor against a very average Liverpool side recovering from midweek. Positives were Ingimarsson who had a quality game and Shorey and Gunnarsson apart from their parts in the goals.

Poor defending for both goals and we desperately lacked width today - Hunt is nowhere near good enough and Oster's sadly not up to it either I'm afraid. I'd like to see us strengthen in the summer with a winger for each side and a central midfielder to replace Harper (possibly a second if Sidwell goes).

It's a shame their support is an absolute joke, home and away.
