For comical goals I give you - Frank (Spencer) Sinclair

Steve Richardson at Rotherham (I think) - we were late arriving on the coach, were 2-0 up when we arrived (Colin Gordon scored both)and saw all 5 of their goals.

Steve Richardson at Brentford - strangely similar header to the one above

Jeff King for us at home to Sheff Utd - now THAT's how to connect with a volley

Gary Sprake playing for Leeds at Crystal Palace - managed to look where he was going to throw the ball after catching the mis-hit cross - unfortunately for him, catching the ball became a bit more of a problem

Whitehead, (I think) dragging the ball back on to the pitch to prevent a corner at the Madstad and presenting it instead to a grateful forward to slot in from close range! :|

sheffield utd vs Forest. One of utd players dribbled through his won defence and then scored a cracker against his own keeper. I'll try and find a link for it...

I nearly forgot - Ian Dowie when playing for West Ham. Bulleted a header into the far corner past the flatfooted keeper. Hilariously, the wrong end.

Rougier o.g. v Walsall 2001 Play-off Final.

Seem to remember goal at Grimsby in 2002/2003 where their player scored an o.g. from near the half-way line. Anyone who went can they back me up?

I remember that. Jeff King must have sprinted from the halfway line flat out to get back and defend. He could not have caught it any sweeter.

It was George Santos... A player Grimsby fans disliked. It was because he was black. Idiots.

Ever spent any time in Grimsby? It is hell. Makes Helmand Province and Beirut look idyllic. You want to take a trip down Cromwell St. Makes our Oxford Rd look like Knightsbridge. A real shit hole and very nasty place all round.

Franchise you mentioned a 5-2 game. I'm certain that was Barnsley away midweek in the late 80s Div 2 relegation season. We were 2-0 up and on the supporters coach. Arrived just in time to see their first goal go in followed by the next four. On a big open terrace at Oakwell and it was bloody freezing!

I was on the coach of doom that night. As usual in those days the only "joy" we had was to piss off the old farts at the front of the coach by singing, we know a song that'll get on your nerves, for at least half the journey back, crazy days.
