It would apear, about time really, that our Academy has started to bear fruit.

Alex has been at the Academy since he was 12 years old. I think that is a massive plus as it must have been quite difficult for our scouts and 'back-room' staff to get any yoingster to come to Reading rather than one of the London clubs. I hope in the not too distant future we might produce somewhat of an 'assembly line' of locally produced and nurtured talent that goes on to great things.

A big well done to all the unsung grafters at the Academy and youth sections of the club.
